Well the stats will be mostly based on the 2009 expansion, but I'll take a look at them.
Release has not been in very many talks yet as it just started and I would not be comfortable giving an estimate yet. But with a lot of things easy to convert it shouldn't be as long as other DBs take.

Like lluuiiiggii stated, stat managing will be mostly unnecessary. Instead I have focused on 3 categories: potential, rider type, and age of decline.
Potential because we can predict which riders turn out to be the best; Rider Type to make sure each rider develops to become the type of rider they are now, not thought to be in 2009; Age of Decline because we can now show this for some riders. Also because I can set riders to decline when they either started or retired/caught doping/etc.
Gonna use the cdb with these edits to the top riders and see what results I get in terms of stat limits and change it up accordingly.

IMO it would add realism if you gave people who were predicted in 2009 to do well later on in their careers high potential etc.

I also have an idea, why not make 2 versions of the db. One realistic one with how people have developped till now, and another one with the potentials people thought cyclists had in 2009.
