Houle with a very promising result, I really wanted him during transfers. Well, maybe next season
Or maybe not hehe anyway 3rd,4th and 6th is a good result and the TT should go well enough for us with Durasek and Roy so hopefully a bag full of points will come back to Canada. |

I honestly hoped that Zabriskie would lose tons of time on stage 3, though the performance he put in there pretty much confirms that he would probably had won the race if that shitty split hadn't occurred on stage 2, oh well.
Kip is really struggling on this terrain, though I didn't expect it to be that bad. I'm sure that he'll bounce back in Olympia, where every stage is pancake flat! Thanks for the reports Smowz, now I hope for a bit of consolation in a stage win on the TT.

Do not expect anything extraordinary at this stage but still expect much more from Van Loocke. Our time of glory came to an end now the question is whether we will achieve our goal.
This is reserved for a man from the house, Rui Costa will take advantage of the Home Bonus and will win the race.

Well those 20 points go some way towards making up for Cornu's disappointment and certainly justifies me turning up at all. It also points towards good things for Feillu in these sorts of hilly stage races/classics where he can do really good things.
Now if Cornu can get into the top 15 from here then everything should still be okay.

Have been away for some days. Great to see a stage win for Scarponi, and a chance of a top 5 in the GC. Amazing sprint from Scarponi when he was nowhere to be seen before he suddenly won the race. |

18th and 27th in the GC isn't bad against PCT oposition, especially we didn't bring here leaders. Ciocan did well on stage 4. Next up for us: Vilnius GP. |

Lowe exceeded my expectations here, top 10 is fantastic for him.
A good race all round, very enjoyable to watch.

Yes first goal of the season reached
What race by Mehr-Wenige, was not waiting for a delivery so good on top with a time trail with so many miles. We leave this race with enough points earned, in 5 days we can double the points from last month ...

ING still would not have won Algarve it's hardcoded
I did enjoy the race, will all the moaning about non selective hilly stages this one seemed to be selective. Though it was with a large help from the wind.
Congrats to Tinkoff, Kirylenka raced well all week.

Nice report Smowz. Even for a PT manager with no interest in the race per se, it was very interesting to follow. Thumbs up!

It's good to leave Algarve with a stage victory and a top10, but all in all it corresponds to a lower amount of points than what I was expecting. Nonetheless it was another great race by Mendes.
Congratulations to Oleg and Tinkoff. This was a great event and in the end it's quite interesting to see the 2 most balanced (HIL/TT) riders got the best placings. Also it must feel pretty good for Count to see Cornu reach the podium in this fashion.
Great race also means great reports so thank you very much Smowz

Well I feel a bit crap for complaining during the race and still coming out of this with a 3rd. Turned that into a great race for me.
Great reporting smowz, your TT reports are brilliant this season!
