Just tried starting a TdF in stage race mode, but the game freezes when loading the first stage. It always happens when loading Road Geometries and always at the same place in the loading bar. This also happened in single stage mode.
I'm sure the game freezes because the tips and favourites/teams don't change either and I can't move my mouse. |

How much time do you wait until you do something? The first Tour stages had a lot of water (I've asked for a 'fixed' version for the stagemakers) so the stages will probably take longer to load. Additionally, does it happen in all Tour stages? (try the ones from the last week or so to test) Did you try the same stages with the Official Release?

I just raced the Mont Ventoux stage and it works fine.
I've waited quite a while the first time, then I tried again three times and each time it got stuck at the exact same place in the loading bar (about 5cm from the end of the bar). The tips and favourites don't change, so I'm pretty sure the game freezes completely.
Haven't tried the stages with another db, though. Shall do that in a minute. |

The tips and favorites only change when what's loading changes. So if it doesn't finish loading Road Geometries, it won't change what's currently on 'screen'. If the Ventoux stage works fine, I believe it could be just those stages taking a long time to load. You haven't specified how much time you kept waiting

I didn't exactly time it, either. Just as soon as I thought "this is taking suspiciously long", I closed the game using task manager (which stated the game wasn't responding, but it always does when PCM is running).
Anyway, I just tried racing the stage with another database and it's still the same.
I didn't know about the tips changing only when the loading changes, so you're probably right about it taking a long time to load. Though, if the amount of water makes it so heavy to load, it probably will be heavy to run as well, so a fixed version is more than welcome. =D

And it hasn't.
Features list of PB:
Race calendar (race names, race category - not dates) has been updated to 2013
Changing race dates would mean we'd have to change most racing programs, which is a lot of work for a result that isn't really worth it imo Therefore race dates are usually not updated in these DBs (at least the PCMDaily ones). Last year they were updated in the V2 because TankNL rewrote the racing programs and changed the dates. Anyway, if it would be done, it'll definitely not be for V1.
I might look into it when i find the time for it... have trouble to even find the time to play the game... but did played it and loved the DB... will do some modding later on!  |

I just put my patience to the test regarding the first TdF stage and apparently, it does work after a bit of loading. It even runs surprisingly smooth, except for the part with the water.
So no problem here at all, in the end. Sorry for the nuisance alarm. |

One of the new races, GP Torres Fedras - Troféo Joaquim Agostinho(2.2) has a prologue rated as a normal (hilly) stage.
The riders start behind each other(well, diagonal behind, whatever)
This is how they start:
Feyenoord(football) and Kelderman fanboy

As mentioned elsewhere, we're not likely to change race dates in the game. To do this we also have to change race programs, fitness schedules etc. It's not quite worth the effort. |
