Good win for Soupe, congrats to Alstom, perfectly timed sprint. Polivoda again with nice podium, he would have won from better position. Nice report Alakagom, looking forward to next one.

Haddi is surprising me so far. He's got an excellent position in both sprints.
I feel he's overachieving even though he doesn't have the ability to compete against the best sprinters.

Great report, again!
Polivoda seems to be the stongest sprinter here, but he should learn how to position himself... Anyway 2nd is still good, and we keep this yellow jersey for another day!
Congratulations Iberia, Martin had a strong sprint and was well positioned, deserved it!

Yep, Polivoda is the man consistency right now. Producing everyday indeed
Also Sohrabi & Haddi produce another nice results, think both Armavia and Barca will be very happy with those 2 today.
I guess the mon/hill debate my be on hands. But it does seem not too have major effect. Yes, both winner and 2nd place here are quite good hilly sprinters. But then you see who's next, Nico Schinker with 53/63 so that's definitely puts the debate at hands. It looks high-ish hill stats does help as I expected, but it's not anywhere vital in stages rated flat. However I think it does help for sprinters to be quite consistent and save up just tad energy more than sprinter with low hill stat does.

I don't get it why i have 4 guys in top25 and make only a 2 man train and miss totally the sprint (and even Carrara beat Dekkers) ... Maybe the low hill stat of Dekkers its the problem... (if so, then i hope next stage will be better)
Anyway, great report and great ride from MArtin |

Strange sprint but nice outcome.
Didn't look good with 1.5 kms to go as Anton Martin was far back but so were Polivoda and Schinker. Seems like all the others sprinters went to early.
Anton Martin is quickly becoming one of my favourite MG riders.

Indeed, that was awkward a bit. However Talabardon was very well protected and that's seem to be the main goal of the team. No point him wasting energy in lead-outs. Carrara really did great job of the lead-out, it's just Dekkers went bit too early and was overhauled quite fast at the end.

Nice report. And for once I had believed Gajek could get a podium or so this time but obviously he and the Allianz train were in front too early. Shame.
Plus Dekers/Gajek are not known for good puncheurs which might had a small influence as well. |

Thanks, this way its more understandable. I hope then protecting Talabardon pay off in the last stage |

Okay so this is slowly starting to piss me off... No green jersey for Rizza, Duque getting 7x, Giogieri losing time for the white jersey. Hope to sleep with a better result in stage 4 tonight

Once again, interresting to read and a nicely done report Alakagom!
Quite strange stage actually. Why on earth did Chabaane decide to attack AFTER the climb. Allthough he have 72 in mountain and 71 in fighter, it's impossible he have anything over 50 in tactic skills, seems he have a sort of mental disability. (Hope this will trigger him to prove me wrong and win tomorrows stage)
Meanwhile Sohrabi managed to get us our 2 first PCT points, meaning we're not at the bottom of the table anymore!

First ever top 10 result from a Kappa-ENI rider.
Not enough to celebrate, but it at least shows that our sprinters is capable of getting into the top 10 from time to time. |

I have to say I'm completely thrilled, wordless. He's got an eye to be in the right place at the right time. I can ask for more.
Congratulations (again) to Spilak! You are dominating the category so far.
Thanks Alakagom for your fantastic report.

Really happy with today. Great attack by Chaoufi and Schinker found the right wheel again. Also happy that Martinez beat Moreno proving he is in good shape
Thanks for the great report again Alakagom, can't wait for the next two! |

Polivoda is proving to be the star of this race, the yellow jersey perhaps the biggest provider of consistency. You nab that one and your rider will work very hard to keep it.
Not a lot of drops which is a little surprising given the fairly lumpy opening three stages, possibly due to the low level of breakaway ability?

It's very nice to see a couple of my riders enjoying their time here in the CT. It also makes it more interesting to follow.
Georgos Tzortzakis have been helping Soupe to a stagewin and a 4th place which is nice. I like it when the loandeals benefit both teams. Tzortzakis will be a very good leadoutman next year in the PT, and the year after a great sprinter himself.
Pierre-Henri Lecuisinier is in 22th place here and could possibly get a free role on the mountainstage which I will look very much forward to. He can't cope with the best riders here, but if he can end up around 20th it will be very nice. It's important that he will end up infront of Tim Wellens

KoM jersey for Hamza great stuff. And good to see Haddi/Abdallah also riding well 'for' Africa.
Similarly, great to see Nico Schinker scoring good results. Glad I sold him to the CT level now.
Also in terms of the earlier Mo/Hl debate, its probably more a matter of Hill stat than anything else.

Hmm, this makes up a lot. 4th in the green jersey standings isn't bad, though I'm not sure if Moreno can still pass him.
Just gotta win tomorrow!
