I'm not going to Gisborne. Somehow. Good luck there
Ah, it's C1. Well, Mehr-Wenige already showed how good he is in C1 races Down Under.

@roturn- That immediately reduces my chances of success. And yes I hope very emotional races
@miguel98- I do not think Mehr-Wenige be the biggest of your problems in this race
@spilak23- his performance in Down Under gives good perspectives for this race yet know it will be hard to shine but who knows ... is the PCM and everything is possible
@pellizotti2- I was already counting on it, but it's just a lack of opponents to know what are the other ... Bellis and many more probably will be there ..

Nice C1 races you are going to take part in, see you in Argentina and Thuringer. Our leader in both will be Vitaliy Popkov, who could be with better TT and our TTT at similar level with Dietmar, being worse puncher. Should be a fun race with mayn other stars crushing us both, i have some hopes for sprints though.

February comes to an end, the performance of the team was a little underwhelming.
The month started in Argentina with the team to be present at the Tour of San Louis. Expectations were not many yet what happened was much lower than expected. We can not be present on the breaks and also were not able to appear in front of the race. The best we could achieve was two top10 of stage by Gajek and Martin Irvine. In general the failure was total with our best man to finish only in the 51st position, David Zabriskie was the ultimate winner after a brilliant team trail.

1 | David Zabriskie | ING Cycling - Project | 25h13'24 | 51 | Jorge Adelbo Soto Pereira | Adira-Isq Project | + 5'00 | 104 | Martyn Irvine | Adira-Isq Project | + 23'49 | 109 | Gökhan Hasta | Adira-Isq Project | + 27'10 | 111 | Pedro Miguel Paulinho | Adira-Isq Project | + 28'23 | 113 | Artur Gajek | Adira-Isq Project | + 33'55 | 117 | Rohan Dennis | Adira-Isq Project | + 36'49 | 119 | Mohamed Harrif Salleh | Adira-Isq Project | + 39'09 |
Then the team traveled to Germany where he raced the Thuringen Rundfahrt. With Dietmar Mehr-Wenige running at home, there were expectations of a good result but the stages were not so selective as expected. Still entire team _ very competitive, especially Rohan Dennis which was the cyclist _ more combative from this race and was present on the breaks in almost every day. Again we can achieve two top10 of stage, one being a presence on the podium by our leader. In the overall standings with two riders finished in the Top30 and Mehr-Wenige stood near the top10.
Mehr-Wenige reaches the podium
GC:

Our last race of the month played up in New Zealand, Gisborne GP although it was a race which will measure Mehr-Wenige became quite complicated by the presence of some of the biggest names in this type of race. Yet our ambitions were not too shaken by more than once tried to get on the breaks all day but met the same fate. Mehr-Wenige tried to surprise the favorites with an attack towards the end but was not able to get better than a top15.

First races of the month end with not so good result for the team.
Dorpenomloop Rucphen opened the month for our team, which went into this race with no great expectations. Our sprinters are far from having the ability to discuss wins and so a top15 was our goal. This objective was achieved with Gajek to finish in 14th position, while Salleh still managed to win some points with his 17th place.
Gajek and Salleh prepare the final sprint.
Strand Galta, walked in front of the race most of the day but this was really a race for the sprinters and the end was one of the favorites to get the win. Hans Dekkers got the better of Steegmans thus achieving a great victory for the Allianz-BMW
GC:

Well, there's one thing I'm 100% sure about your team: if it wasn't for Mehr-Wenige, you would have problems. |

First goal of the season achieved in Algarve.
After a not very successful first race in Holland, the team left for Portugal where we waited for the first goal of the season. The top 10 of the overall standings was what we wanted. We knew it would be very difficult because looking at the profile of the race, he did not fit any of our riders. Martin Irvine is good in Time Trail but bad in the hills. While Mehr-Wenige is precisely the opposite, so everything pointed to that if I could not achieve the desired goal.
The first stage was marked as being a stage of hills, but looking at the profile not seen so many difficulties was expected few differences at the end of the day. But that's not what happened and the race opened with a brilliant result of Mehr-Wenige ending in 2nd place just being beaten over the finish line by David Boily.
Mehr-Wenige being beaten over the finish line on stage 2
The 2nd stage was very similar to the previous but again made big differences were largely due to the very wind that was felt and caused cuts in the peloton leaving immediately, some favorites out of the first places. Mehr-Wenige surprised again and finished in 2nd place, earning him the leadership race. We started to believe it was possible to achieve our goal, but would have to be made even more differences in the following stage.
We set off for the most difficult stage in front of the race trying to always have control of Botd, and after several attacks many were left behind. entered the final hill with a very restricted group and where three men were able to make the difference for others. José Mendes was the winner while Mehr-Wenige ended the third consecutive day in 2nd position soon followed by Vasili Kiryenka.
The leadership of the race continued in possession of Mehr-Wenige until the final Time Trail, since the 4th stage nothing special happened and Romain Feillu won the final sprint
Adira-Isq controlling the race in the pack
And last stage is the one that will decide everything Martin Irvine is our best man in this specialty and finishes in 11th place, was not his best day yet it is still a good result, Mehr-Wenige was the last man to start the Time Trail, successfully minimize losses which allowed him to finish the race well inside the desired top10. David Zabriskie won the stage while Vasili Kiryenka was the winner of the final grade,
The balance of the race could not be better for our team that leaves the Algarve with three 2nd places to stage, winning the points classification and youth, and with the main objective achieved.

Isq abandons the project, new sponsor found
The team Adira-Isq cease to exist at the end of this season. The severe financial crisis that hits Portugal, forced Isq to withdraw sponsorship of cycling team, was feared that this could spell the end of the Portuguese team.
Not being satisfied the team manager initiated contacts with possible interested in funding the team, after a long battle it was possible to reach an agreement with a giant in the industry of high pressure washers. This agreement is due largely to the presence of the current German champion in the team, so being on the next season the team will be renamed with Karcher-Adira. It has already been presented the team jersey for next season, its authorship is the manager of the team that proved quite satisfied with this arrangement, believing that even the next season the team can aspire to greater heights.
Team Jersey
Like Isq also Giant, Campagnolo and BBB decided to abandon the project being replaced by the whells manufacturer Zipp and Berg engaged in the manufacture of bicycles and helmets.

The manager confirmed that Jurgen Van Loocke, Joe Hicks, Gokhan Hasta, Gabor Kasa and Mohamed Salleh Harrif not see their contracts renewed because their poor performance during the current season. Yet another German team.
At least in the Man Game the German sponsors are happy to spend their money obviously.
Looking good for Gajek then. And eventually some other Germans are available in the offseason. |

No, the team will continue Portuguese, this season hear a great mix of nationalities, in the next priority will be to Portuguese than German nationality will be the second to have priority in team.
Summarizing changes name but the main focus remains the same.
Roturn hopefully i well get some German cyclists, the ideal was to have even 65% of the Portuguese team, 25% German and 10% of various other nationalities

Team prepares next season
The next season is already beginning to stir and like most of the teams we decided to also announce the future of most of our cyclists. The squad will certainly suffer great changes.
Some cyclists have already ensured its continuity in the team, although a possible transfer is not put aside for any cyclist.
Definitely staying
Dietmar Mehr-Wenige
Martin Irvine
João Cabreira
André Cardoso
Marcio Portela
Amaro Antunes
Pedro Miguel Paulinho
Still undecided
Artur Gajek
Jorge Adelbo Soto Pereira
Rohan Dennis
Definitely leaving
Jurgen Van Loocke
Joe Hicks
Mohamed Harrif Salleh
Gökhan Hasta
Gabor Kasa
As for entries there is a long list of possibilities all coming from Portugal or Germany, but for now will not be advanced more names than those that are already known.
