Around half of the stages are finished now, too bad it is the second half, so you have to wait a bit more for the stages to be published. Some of them are going a bit too close to the edge of the map (if you use helicopter on the highest zoom), but i don't think there will be any problem.
When I publish I must ask you to try the stages with graphics and see how it works, because I have a too weak pc, to play it |

Haven't been very active in this forum, so I don't know if it is just me who can't upload any stages into the Stage DB. Anyway, here are some new profiles from the Giro variant. It is not very exciting to start with the mountain stages, I know that, but I have to delete some pieces of all the stages, to make the files smaller and better, and it takes too long time to do this in the south, where are the flat stages are...
Will upload the stages at once, if it works.

Still working on rewriting the Stage DB code to allow uploading on the new server Great to see you back, though. |

I have been very active the last months, but with other things, so I haven't had much time for making stages, Nevertheless much are already done, and I will start uploading something now.
Giro D'Italia Garda Variant:
Stage 1: Verona TTT
Not much to say about the stage. It starts and ends in Verona, and takes the riders at good roads in the plains a bit to the northeast of the city.
Have to fix my Bitzipper, but until that you have to get two downloads to get the stage file. I promise this will be fixed as soon as possible.

Stage 2: Verona - Verona
The first mass start stage is going with 3 laps with start and finish in Verona, the orange lap first, then the blue and the green in the end. Not very much difficulties, just a few bumps in the start.

The next stages will be only one file of course. I will then edit the first posts as well. |

Giro D'Italia Garda Variant, stage 3: Verona - San Bonifacio:
A new stage, which will probably end in a mass sprint. There are not very many of these stages, so the participating sprinters should want to keep the peloton tight.
Download: https://www.mediaf...ejb55ktynj
I will remind that I cannot make my own screens from the stage, because my computer is too bad. The only thing I can say is that I am happy with the graphics as it looks in the editor. |

Giro D'Italia, Garda Variant
Stage 4: San Bonifacio - Costabissara
A new sprint stage is the next challenge for the riders. With the helicopter camera you can see the limit for the dem-file on this stage, so don't do that.

Must be really tricky indeed to find routes for so many stages in only one .zcts file. Going to be an original Giro, for sure

Giro D'Italia Garda Variant
Stage 5; Malo - Arzignano
The heaviest stage to now. Some pretty hard climbs in the start, and many of the sprinters will get a hard day, but it will not create gaps between the GC contenders. Maybe a winner from the early breakaway?
https://www.mediaf...sk8badznvv
@lluuiiggii: Yeah, it was really difficult. Especially the flat stages, as there are mountains almost everywhere in the area. Still I think I've made a pretty good mix.
@fickman: Thank you!

Giro D'Italia Garda Variant
Stage 6: Chiampo - Negrar
A short stage, but with enough accumulated height to categorize it as a mountain stage. In my tests this is the hardest time limit in the whole race, but no more than 10 riders were outside at max.
Download: https://www.mediaf...3tlhj25pqg
I have also made a few screenshots from the first stages, but I don't know if it is worth posting, as it doesn't include graphical elements. (I need a new computer )

Giro D'Italia Garda Variant
Stage 7: Bussolengo - Lonato del Garda
One more stage for the sprinters. They don't have a lot of possibilities left, so the breakaway will probably be caught once more.

I have also made this years NC of Norway, held in Grimstad, a picturesque city at the south coast; where many of the biggest norwegian cyclists have been born, and also hometown of the cycling team Plussbank. The route is 18 laps in a flat 10 kilometres round around the city, but the possible sprint depends on the size of the db. In the smaller NC the breakaway have bigger chances to succeed. If the breakaway gets caught the uphill sprint is perfect for the biggest city hero Thor Hushovd.

I did my first true try in making a city with isolated buildings, and it looked quite ok in the stage editor. I don't know though how it looks in game, so please tell me!

Giro D'Italia Garda Variant
Stage 8: Madonnina - Montichiari ITT
A short and flat time trial will be the next challenge for the riders. Yet a stage where some gaps can be created, but not big ones.
Download: https://www.mediaf...ul16r6yl83
Stage 9: Montichiari - Odolo
The first of the next mountain stages brings the riders up the steep climb of Provaglio val Sabba, and the hilly finish will make the peloton smaller.

Nice job with the Norwegian NC Checked it out in the Stage Viewer. The city with IBs look nice, but don't forget that around the finish will be the seats of the public, so you should leave some free area around it (as it is now, there are two houses running into the standings ). Also, about the sea, I think you could leave some water out (you don't need to cover it all the way to the end of the .zcts because of the game-fog), then there's less chance for the stage to lag in game.
And Giro's halfway done, nice. Looking forward to when the riders will climb the big mountains of the north (and of course, the Scanuppia)

You sure we're talking about the same game here?

Thanks This is one of the things I hoped for, as it impossible for me to see it myself. Tried to make some place for it, but maybe not enough...
The stage 10 is an uphill finish and the stage is rated as hilly; when I tried it it a group of 70-80 fought for the victory. I didn't mean extreme differences |

If you use the spectators-feature, the seats will pup up It's a feature that can be found in the left-side-menu

Giro D'Italia Garda Variant
Stage 10: Gavardo Sopraponte - Val di San Valentino
The last half of the Giro starts with the first mountain top finish. Two really steep climbs within the last kilometres will be the most crucial point of the day, but the following stage will make bigger differences, so the biggest favorites won't sacrifice everything today.
