Miggi, many thanks for this thread!
I would really like to start playing around making relatively good looking stuff sometime.. Seems like this is my chance
EDIT: You said something about making nationals.. Please add that guide, I would really like to know how!
EDIT2: Maybe add correct placements of stuff on leader jerseys and add some national/race leader templates?
EDIT3: OK. It has become clear that I need a GIMP tutorial. I even have trouble dragging stuff around lol..

I will upload a psd.file soon which contains all the national championship templates dn.son (or deksel here on pcmdaily) has made. Maybe I will also put up my own version with several expansions. I am undecided on that matter yet!
I have yet to make a single leaders jersey but i will get to that early enough. Itll be coming. As for the third part: I didnt have a tutorial for gimp. I just started playing around and got the hang of it... Maybe this low cut advise helps you (try, try, try!) I didnt even have a shirt tutorial for my first attempts (so you can imagine how horrible they were...).

I've been messing around with it too, and I'm getting better and better! Hehe... Well.. Forget the tutorial, there's enough on the internet. But still, the leader jersey's especially will be appreciated!
EDIT2: Been messing around making a new jersey for my career team, belgacom - het nieuwsblad. Although I loved fcancellara's design I prefer riding around in my own creations.
I want to add something though, but I dont know how exactly. Maybe some of you can help me with this.
I would like to extend the blue of belgacom to form a band, similar to that of Radioshack. Then I would like to recolour the blue behind belgacom into the colours of the flag. How do I do this recolouring? I heard something about a certain thing called masking, could this be it?
Any help appreciated.
P.S.: Also attached my jersey to explain what I'm talking about.
EDIT3: Edited my jersey, made the band. Still hoping if anyone could tell me how to (if at all possible) change the blue into a flag's colours

Back again.
I pretty much finished up my jersey. Does anybody know where I can find GT leader jersey templates? |

The closest you will get to it is this option:
Filters->Distorts->Curve Bend
But its not working that well as far as i have figured it out...
BTW, since I know that you are also very active in the german forums, i guess that you are using Gimp in german. The german path for those distortions would be Filter->Verzerren->verbiegen.
@Mithrillian:
Not bad for a first try but it looks still kinda empty...
I added the national championship templates from Deksel (dnSon) to the download post in on the 1st page. Ill add a few nations Deksel hassnt done and my version of the shirts oce they are done. It all works with copy and paste multilayering

If i understood it right, you created a bolivian championshirt?
Anyways, if you create a champshirt, you have to make sure its a 32-bit tga file and then also put the right country code. In order to get the right code, id suggest to look into the DB in the Table STA_Country (as far as i remember) and look up the code there. Then it should work...

Important notice:
The newest gimp version works a bit differently when you want to save the shirt. In order to save the shirt you must click export instead of save as. I also recommend to export the shirt twice (once as psd and once as tga or png or whatever format you want to!) as the creator has modified the newest version in a way to promote gimp picture files! Importing remains th same (open file)

Miggi! These tutorials are brilliant, well done! Taught me a few things that I really really want to go try.
Why doesn't the post have a massive image painted "USE LAYERS" at the beginning of the tutorial? biggest lesson we can ever learn (the hard way). |

Did you try the 'Puppet Warp' Tool, or something like that? For the shoulder logo, you could also try the Rise effect from the pre-set warp menu.

When saving as a .tga, a menu will appear where you can choose 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit. Just choose 32-bit and click ok.
