This took me two hours, not because it was so hard, but because I suck with Photoshop. Everything worked out as planned though. |

19-5: January 4th: "<Censored> Betrayed!"
Manager feels "<Censored> betrayed" after target steps to the enemy
Spoiler Team manager Vien of VI-Sigaarsnor declared that he was "<Censored> Betrayed and massively ditched" after hearing that Wilco Kelderman has signed for the GERMAN! team BMW-Allianz, managed by jaxika. Team and rider already had an agreement, but Kelderman "chickened out at the last moment", according to Vien. When we asked him if they would still be interested in him after his contract runs out, he ssaid: "of course he can talk to us, but we won't forget this. I'll promise he'll find some nails in his wheels at the start of the next few races"
"Three teams fighting for Luke Durbridge's signature"
Spoiler It might come to a surprise to a lot of us that, after 9 rounds, no one has signed Luke Durbridge yet. His name is one of the hottest names on the shortlist of three teams, according to Eurosport. VI-SigaarSnor and Australian based teams ANZ-Giant and Holden-Westman have all shown interest in the young Australian. VI are rumoured to have the biggest budget left and would thus be an interesting choice for the Dutchies, however, if they don't show full commitment and regard them as their #1 target, he might sign at an Australian team after all.
VI signs Cattaneo as future Giro contender
Spoiler Mattia Cattaneo has signed a two-year contract with VI-Sigaarsnor. Cattaneo (21), winner of the 2011 Giro Bio, has chosen VI over UBS-Rolex. UBS' manager, franki28, has already responded to the media: "Damn Vien... you took my Cattaneo"... Is there a fierce managerial fight coming up? Will franki28 try to outsmart us this time?
Denny Nelissen deal sealed, two-year contract signed
Spoiler Apart from Mattia Cattaneo, Dutch ex-rider Denny Nelissen has also been presented to the press. He will be one of VI's trainers. The team has announced that they "will still look for one or two more trainers... Denny is good at training youngsters, especially time trialers, puncheurs and classic riders, but we need someone to improve our climbers as well"

This is great to read Don't think Keldermann would consider signing for you if you nailed his tyres

January 5th: Dubridge signing sealed, team aims for "Lucky number seven"
No real news today at VI apart from the long-expected signing of Australian time-trial talent Luke Durbridge. The under-23 time trail world champion will first be able to be seen at the Australian Championships, which means he won't be able to go with VI on training camp. Team manager Vien was very unclear about who was their next target: "We have contacted four riders, who are all at least slightly interested in joining us. Two of them will be presented tomorrow. I won't tell you who, but all I can say is that they all have something to do with lucky number seven". We have tried, but we haven't been able to crack the code yet... |

Seems like your team is going to be nearly impossible to beat in the classics.
