Custom team! That's what I have done and it's great fun. You can pick your own riders and just the ones that you like.
I picked Liquigas, I have the Liquigas jersey and shorts and like the colours, also I like the riders they have, Viviani, Oss, Nibali, Sagan, Sabatini. shame Guarnini has gone to Astana , halfway through February and doing well so far but no wins.

Gonna update in a huge update in the week, when Pais Vasco and Cicuit Sarthe are finished, instead of stage by stage.

Anna Savon? Are you playing with the Official Release?
Edit: guess you are, just seen Gerzelli. Why don't you download a better DB?

I know that some of the names are wrong but it doesn't matter to me because I know who they're meant to be so when mention them to you lot I can correct them!
Garzelli just won the Mountain Jersey in the TDU! |

Yeah, but a DB which doesn't have even the real names is much likely to be poor in other areas as well.. stages/races, equipment, stats, sponsors.. so a good DB wouldn't correct only names, but also a lot of other things

Latest result right here:
I didn't even attack with any of my riders in this one. Vino got out to about 4 minutes at one point and Garzelli was the only one who looked like catching him. Vino was caught with about 5Km to go after riding on his own for about 140KM. Bertolini didn't have anything left so I just let my two riders sprint it out with 900M to go and Garzelli took the victory despite Vino making a late surge to the line. Posthuma surprised me a great deal, not even a class climber but he still did super. Kreuziger and Vanendert were solid finishing in 14th and 15th. My other three riders were the lesser ability ones but they still all did great. Alessandro Proni crossed the line in 22nd, Tom Skujins in 26th and Franceso Di Paolo came in 46th. |

Read through the Duque discussion, and I agree that he's amazing. Once tried to start up a Man-Game at PCM Spot and ended up with Duque on my team. He won the TDU despite working as Cav's lead out man for the first few days. Shame my computer broke so I had to stop the game. |

Yeah, he's sensational! Forgot to put him in my custom team though. Hopefully I can get him at the end of the season though and he won't come back to bite me throughout my first season! |

well, after Fédrigo won the TdU, he also dominated the GP Marseillaise with Dominique Rollin on three. Since I mostly played for my story, I didn't get much further, I'm currently in the etoile de Besseges, FDJ wants a Top 10 there. Hutarovich and Fedrigo should be able to achieve that.

Got a disappointing 9th in the Dauphiné with Uran, but Duque (who else? ) won a stage and the KoM to make up for it. Also won the white jersey with Brenes.
Now I'm doing the Tour de Suisse with Rujano as leader preparing for the TDF.

Best of luck with it! Fédrigo seems to be doing very well in your career!
I am currentley at the TA and PN with my two squads. Not going to win either of them but I could get 2-3 in the top 10 in each race! |

As I said in my last post, I'm not going to win either the TA or PN but after two more stages in each race, here are my top 3 performers in each one:
TA
Alexandre Vinokourov (20) + 1'55"
Joost Posthuma (23) + 2'01"
Rafaa Chtuoui (24) + 2'01"
PN
Thomas Lofkvist (3) + 53"
Jakob Fuglsang (8) + 3'47"
Nicolas Vogondy (10) + 4'00" |

Here's my team for the TDF:
Obviously, Rujano is the leader, with Uran here to hopefully get a stage win somewhere. Gonzalez Pena is a 22 year old Argentinian that has got ridiculously good, very quickly, and Richeze is his lead out man. Garcia Lemos is another newgen, who is here for the two time trials, but he'll struggle to beat Martin and Cancellara. Then there's Duque...

You have got a great looking team there. Duque!! XD
I managed to win the TA with Vinokourov, somehow! Now into the Vuelta Catalunya and him and Martin are literally neck and neck at the top. |

Just got to the Giro, my squad is:
Jelle Vanendert
Francesco Du Paolo
Jakob Fuglsang
Danielle Bennati
Joost Posthuma
Alexandre Vinokourov
Cayetano Jose Sarmiento
Tom Skujins
Alessandro Proni
Vinokourov is our only realistic hope at the GC. However, Vanendert and Fuglsang will probably be able to get into the top 20 with some good performances. Bennati is with us for the pure sprinting stages. Posthuma is our TT specialist along with Vinokourov. Sarmiento will be looking for some top 20 peformances in some of the easier hilly stages whilst Proni, Du Paolo and Skujins will be domestiques who I will chuck into breakaways ever now and again. Proni is entering the Giro on the back of a stage win in the Tirreno-Adriatico whilst Du Paolo got a stage win in the Tour of Oman and held the leader's jersey.
Wish me luck! |
