Then im going to work in the roads for now. I have to buy a new PC since my Grafic Card is broken and I want to buy a new GeForce GTX 590 and thats not compatible with my cpu and mainboard and everything else. So everything will cost arround 3000 Euros and that means that i will probably not buy it this or next month. |

Or just get a graphic card from ebay which is compatible with your Motherboard.
I mean, if you really want a GTX 590, then better wait some months until the prices drop and in the mean time get a used card for around 20 € on ebay. |

Good stage, the small hill with 12% is an opportunity for the breakaway, and the sprints are exciting because it is a little uphill. Can't wait for the final version!

Well I have only taken a look at stage 1, here are some things (I'd do images for them all but haven't got all that time now):
- First, in some parts you have too much points. Besides already having increased your work, this makes the road less smooth and the gradient less constant (I find the gradient important even in flat stages - it's bad when it goes from 2% to -1% back to 3% to -2% and etc). Take a look in the attached pic, if you delete those road points the curl would look much smoother plus the gradient would be better. But don't overdelete, sometimes it can look quite bad.
- Then there is the -14%/12% descent/hill at about 53 kms. That's quite unrealistic. There is an easy way to fix it: that part of the landscape looks perfect for a road passing above another. So just delete the road point that is bringing the road down, create a bridge there and add another road below.
- On the beginning of the stage, there are some road crossings that are wrong, one road passing above another, except that they're in the same height. These roads need to be united in a same road point, otherwise it'll look very strange. I don't think I need to go further into this since I think you know how to do it (in the end there are some correct road junctions), so just revise the first ones.
- As I've said in the hill part, even if the stage is flat good slopes are important. It's just that it's much easier to get these good slopes. Normally I try to not have a red section (>10%) in any stage, mountain or flat. And in case of flat stages, even yellow slope sections should be avoided as much as possible (but obviously keeping the realism: if there's a climb in flat stage which will go up to 8%, then obviously you'll use yellow).
These are some things I've seen. Good luck for the next stages, making a Tour isn't easy

U dont notice all these little mistakes until someone like u with experience tells u. Making a Tour is a lot of work, and if the stage maker crashes very 10 minutes is even worse.
Thnxs for the feedback. |

Took a look in the stage, looks good
I've seen though a city which looks quite strange, because the city is bordering with the road but they're in different height lvls, so it looks strange. Can't remember which km did it appear, but it was a very big city. In this one I think you could make the road go into the city, would be nicer imo. (and also make the city smaller, most of it can't be seen but still occupies some ram).
Concerning that descent/hill part, this was what I meant (see attached image).

For my computer, which can't run PCM11 with high settings, I think your stages are brilliant!

Since Stage 2 was the least you had released, I thought it was implied I was talking about that one, sry. Well I'm talking about stage 2 then. And about the screen, I mean the -14%/+12% descent/ascent which I'd mentioned earlier (2nd topic on post #67).

Yes. In case of a prologue inside a city there isn't much problem in creating a very big city, the RAM use won't be big enough to make the game crash. But in case of a normal road stage, especially if it's quite long, what you do simulate a big city is create the city in size normal or large, which will create high buildings, and then just follow the roads. Quite hard to explain in words, so take a look in the last stage of the TdF. There's a lot of kms inside Paris, yet it's built so the RAM use won't be that big

It's for online games. (you get some points when playing online which count in the end result I think.. something like that, I've only played a road stage online once =P )
