No one knows.
Some sources say 16th of June, which is what PCM.daily has reported, but if you check Focus' or Cyanide's website, it says "Summer 2011" - so still no word on the official release date. |

Actually, as long as it's not as filled with bugs like pcm 10, it's all fine for me.. |

The only thing that is certain is that well have to wait for a patch or two before we can start a career. |

I'm pretty certain it will be released before the Tour de France starts.
Off topic - but was that Giro version ever released? |

I think the DVD was included with La Gazetta della Sport. Actually good way of selling it to people intrested in sport most. |

The season for PCM starts with the TdF. Also the national championships' year is from July to June... so they tried to make the last sells of the season and then they lower the price of PCM2010.
I hope PCM2011 will come with less bugs than last year... hope that PS3 and XBOX will brought more testing to Cyanide guys. |

I won't buy the console version of the game even though it seems interesting. I just think it seems more like a demo then an actual game. Just the TdF, you can't play the entire stage, etc... |

What's up with the critism of not being able to play the entire stage? Who wants to sit around for 6 hours to play one stage? If you're just going to fast forward anyway, why not simulate it? |

Well, what if you go on the break, or want sprint or mountain points, how will that be? Also, in a flat stage you could get a puncture, or be part of a fall, and it would be interesting to play it back to the peloton.
It would be nice if there was the 3D mode, and in the middle of it you could switch to something like the Detailed Simulation for a while, then play the parts you want to play.
And I think there should be a fast forward option, not many people would like to play for a whole hour the last mountain of a stage, for example.

That's pretty much what it's like - only difference is that Cyanide has picked the parts for you. |

What happens if the leader of the Tour has a flat tire on the flat right before the start of a climb? |

Since it's simulated, I suppose the simulation AI will drop back and help the leader, just like it would have done if it was being raced in 3D. |

Yeah, but want if someone would like to play a part Cyanide has not picked? That's why I think it would be cooler if we could 'choose' the parts we want to play.

God - so looking forward to seeing how they do the 360/PS3 versions. I'm happy because my laptop's graphics make this game look pretty damn awful.
Sadly, often manager games (i.e Football Manager) struggle to make the transition to console. Hopefully they'll give us a version with all the features in!
EDIT: Just read that there will only be the Tour de France available? And they're going to charge full price for that? That's very disappointing. I jumped in too early with this post.
