The prologue was a good start for Africa thanks to Meintjes, but a weakened team means that the GC is out of the question.
Abelouache in the break on stage 3 is good for the TV time

Good result in Lincoln. Seems like this justifies the choice of bringing Gilbert

Sub-par from Vanendert, even if he's 6th we need more GC gaps to the climbers. JAV in 5th is a very welcome surprise in Finanzplatz, the kind of thing we need if we're to keep up our miracle top 10

Our cobbled season was disappointing so far, but Lincoln is so much worse still. Roelandts as our best only 61st. |

Good start from Caruso to be in that front group on stage 2, but the 3 decisive stages are still to come I think.

2nd in Lincoln is ok, that finish is really made for Sagan.
Dev team doing ok so far. Podravka with more great results, I think the U23 is decided already.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Geschke 2nd in a bunch sprint is a great result
The 3-minute-gap on stage 2 is important too for the mountain stage to come.

I'm very happy with that 4th place by Ulissi, also 3rd in PC so my goal of reaching 100 points here is accomplished. |

amazing CT teams in 1-3 overall in the Romandie, that's what I'm talking about...
it would be stunning if Fuglsang could repeat his CT Individual Standings success from last year...

Very impressed with Meijers winning the U25s, getting 3rd in the KOM and finishing 9th in the GC at Romandie
Very unimpressed with Porte's 6th place despite the last 2 stages suiting him well. Don't know what happened there. Unless he improves, I don't see us challenging for promotion the way it's going now

If we almost achieved the goal why do I feel this pain
Tour de Velits is exactly right, didn't even get a look in. Shame for Rivera to lose a two-up sprint for the stage, would've been an awesome race if he had

Caruso was really strong in the hilly stages but unfortunately there were no real gaps in the mountain stage and his time trial also was a bit subpar, so he only finished in 5th. That's probably about what I expected before the race but considering that he was looking very good till the last 2 stages and was just a few seconds behind second in the end, it still feels a bit disappointing.
Apart from him our team didn't do much in the road stages, more TV time for our sponsors would have certainly been appreciated. Finally Cancellara basically had his first real good effort in a time trial but obviously it was on the worst route for him yet.
And yeah Velits is a monster.

Tour d'Edvald Boasson Hagen would suit that race too to be honest, great performance

A W E S O M E !
Stage win for Auer is really, really nice. Again our aggressive riding pays off.
Geschke in 11th is nice, especially with the good stage placements on 4 and 6.
Pöstlberger also with a nice showing in the time trial.
Now we can lay back and enjoy the Giro for the rest of the month.

3rd by Petraitis is pretty good on stage 1 with Breuer doing decently on the other two. Wish our team was slightly more aggressive though, ignoring all the breaks in this and Romandie is a bit disappointing.
Thanks a lot for another update shonak!
