Yeah, but being on the bottom of the world you always have to hold onto things to stop yourself falling off the planet and into space.
I'd rather have the boring winter. |

I think the winter won't be boring, there'll be lots of stories, some of us have the cyclo-cross season to follow, and we'll be looking forward to the Maya apocalypse! |

not good
Had sth similar a year back, luckily vomited only twice but felt really bad for 2 days. Spent them in bed and slept 18h a day. Even after that felt really weak for several days and any physical activity was nauseating.

Don't blame me for small errors in the English language, please. It's not everyone's mother tongue, In my language we say Mayas so I hope the mistake is understandable, and you knew what I meant |

I know a nice fact involving Egyptians, thanks to Zorro. and I quote Diego de la Vega:
"Do you know that the word Gypsy is an ancient variant of the word Egyptian?"
The commandante didn't know that, though.
LOVE that series of Disney, anyone ever saw that? With Guy Williams as Zorro? |

I don't think I know the serie, I've never watched so much of Zorro anyway, but I knew the word gipsy came from there, as in 17th or 18th century French, or in Molière's plays (I had to read a couple through my scholarship) "an Egyptian" means "a gipsy".

As my spanish teacher said, "if the aztecs couldn't foresee that cortes was going to kill them off what makes you think they can predict when the world is going to end." |

You studied them and say their incredible ancient knowledge are bollocks. Man, this is as disrespectful as it can be, they knew maybe more about the nature and solar system than we know with all that technology. At least they were not fucking with the ecosystems like we are.

It's stupid to believe anyway.
Who will know the universe and the world better? An ancient race or we with all our technology and scientific wisdom.
Of course, they would know the end of the world was to be now, what do we know about it? .....
On the other hand, we're more likely to destroy the world ourselves, but that's another business |

And who says this apocalypse is about anything else than we destroying the earth slowly? To be clear, i dont believe the world is going to end in december, but saying that we have much better knowledge is rather limited view.
And to your question, i am sute Mayas knew the astrology and nature better than we now. You can laugh at that, but that is just my oppinion. If we knew it better, we would not be destroying it with our actions so much.
My point is that in our time we are informed about who is the best cyclist, who won 63rd series of X-factor, who farted right on the other side of the globe, but we know shit about how to live in connection/cooperation with nature around us, or maybe we know, but intentionally act otherwise.

In fact, I retrieve my words. We will not destroy the earth, the earth will outlive us as we destroy ourselves |
