Great win! Congrats.

Wow these answers came fast, thanks.

Nice win with Rojas. Great signings also, I hope that you can get Fuglsang too.

Luckily I can present another talented stage rider joining our team in 2012. As our first choice Van Garderen renewed his contract with HTC we decided to go for a similar rider.

img3.imageshack.us/img3/1624/fuglsang.jpg
2010
24th Giro d'Italia
12th Tour de Romandie
1st Tour of Qinghai Lake
1st Denmark ITT

2011
13th Dauphine
3rd Tour de Romandie
1 stage win Paris-Nice
1st Denmark ITT

We hope to improve with him a bit to make him more competive in hard one week stage races. Also he will get a chance as leader or co leader in a GT.

@batista:
Nibali would indeed be awesome, but 1) I don`t like to dominate a GT. I prefer to fight for good results with weaker stage racers and 2) he is way to expensive with 90.000 bucks. Especially after deciding for Haussler`s 50.000 there is no chance.
Last transfer might be Felline if he wants to join. Not sure about Zabriskie yet if he stays or not.

Tour of Austria - Stage 2
Landeck - Kitzbüheler Horn
img202.imageshack.us/img202/7236/pcm0009.jpg
Stagte 2 in Austria will be a first sign for the overall. The climb to the Kitzbüheler Horn is extremely steep. So there will be several small groups. Daniel Martin and Rujano are the strongest climbers, but Rujano already lost time on the flat stage and might be out of form after the Giro.
Other riders to watch will be Taaramae, Carrara, Sörensen and Velits.

img402.imageshack.us/img402/1420/pcm0010k.jpg
A big group was able to create a gap. With Tschopp and a bit also Wegelius there are two average climbers in it. The other riders will lose much time on the climb.

img687.imageshack.us/img687/8236/pcm0011.jpg
Dao, Meier and Bobridge control the advance. Rojas will definitely lose the yellow jersey after this stage but we hope to keep it in the team.

img28.imageshack.us/img28/9976/pcm0012.jpg
The climb begins and Tschopp sets a higher pace now. Just Wegelius with some problems can follow.

img703.imageshack.us/img703/9241/pcm0013.jpg
Also the peloton is turning on the mountain road. Ag2r is working a lot now for Valjavec and Efimkin.

img269.imageshack.us/img269/7831/pcm0014o.jpgValjavec and Velits with the first attack. Martin increases and follows them quite easily.

img823.imageshack.us/img823/1864/pcm0015.jpg
Nobody can follow his speed. He is no solo chasing the breakaway. The group behind him is also splitted now.

img529.imageshack.us/img529/3420/pcm0016.jpg
Martin overtook rider for rider and celebrates a deserved win. Velits and Sörensen follow with almost 3min back. Augustyn, who was transferred from Sky to Team Nutrixxion did surprisingly well and finished 4th, a good result for the small German team.
Tschopp and Wegelius even did it into the top 10, great resutl for both of them.
Löw, Rojas and Pate finished around 20. This is the best result for our young climber so far.
The July starts really successful for us with 3 wins in a row.

Great victory Smile Martin goes for overall victory?

roturn
Will be hard not to win now.
There is another similar stage where I hope to get a similar result. Then 2 hilly stages and a timetrial, but I won`t lose that much time there as all riders aren`T that good in timetrial.

baia
Wait,i know whats going to happen next stages....Garmin winsGrin
Great wins so far,Garmin doing really good.

Great stage for Martin and a great July for you so far.

Batista15
Great stage win with Martin!

roturn
Thanks. It was really a good stage by him. He was the strongest climber plus a +5 form made him unbeatable.
But I can promise you that I don`t win the ITT as Cancellara, Martin and Contador are participating plus many other better time trialists Grin

Le Tour de France - Stage 4
Cholet - Cholet
img687.imageshack.us/img687/1404/pcm0018.jpg
The first timetrial around Cholet is the shorter of two totally flat timetrials. Hesjedal must try to lose as less time as possible. Finishing close to the Schleck brothers might be the maximum actually.

img145.imageshack.us/img145/5460/pcm0021.jpg
Fuglsang will ride for our team next year. Here he is just number 3 or 4 behind the Schleck`s and Porte. A good time for him.

img811.imageshack.us/img811/9144/pcm0022.jpg
Cancellara is always in a top shape for the tour. He already proved it with the overall win in the Tour de Suisse. Of course a new best time by far.
38'48

img88.imageshack.us/img88/3766/pcm0023.jpg
Martin beated him in the Suisse timetrial. Can he repeat this again? He finishes 2nd with a bigge gap than expected.
+37

img718.imageshack.us/img718/5772/pcm0025.jpg
Kreuziger did a great Dauphine and is also a good bet for a top 10 here.
+1'40

img600.imageshack.us/img600/326/pcm0026.jpg
Wiggins is known as a great time trialist. He also did a good job today.
+57

img41.imageshack.us/img41/7669/pcm0027.jpg
Lars Boom is our best chance for a good result in the timetrials. But he can`t get a top 10 result here. A bit slower than Kreuziger.
+1'59

img403.imageshack.us/img403/2653/pcm0028.jpg
Last year Menchov won the whole tour. It will be harder this year as Contador is in a great shape.
+1'56

img140.imageshack.us/img140/299/pcm0029.jpg
Andy Schleck will lose time today. This is for sure, but as great climber he might gain it again in the mountains.

+3'23 Frank Schleck

Sanchez is also a top 5 contender. His timetrial wasn`t that good. Maybe his shape was too good too early.
+2'08

img252.imageshack.us/img252/5052/pcm0031.jpg
This wasn`t a good ride by Hesjedal. He lost more time than expected and was one of the worst of the favourites for a top 15. He lost even more time than Frank Schleck.
+3'50

img407.imageshack.us/img407/8072/pcm0032.jpg
Contador also can`t beat Cancellara and Martin but as 3rd he shows his ambitions.
+45

So the winner of this timetrial are Martin, Contador, Wiggins and Leipheimer and the losers are F. Schleck, Hesjedal and Sanchez.

I agree! There are some guys, you can´t beat in a ITT at the Tour.....Cancellara, Martin and Contador!

Our transfers are faster to announce than expected. So after one week in July we already signed all new riders.

After Fuglsang, Haussler and Goss we can also present Fabio Felline. His list of wins is long in 2011 and so he is leading the Continental ranking with just 21 years. He is a good allrounder and he has still time and talent to improve more. The transfer to a bigger team is his first step to an absolutely top rider. He will be a good support for harder races and can also lead the team in shorter races as his palmares prove.

Another great signing. He will be a top rider in some years.

@ baia: He developed very well as it`s already the middle of season 2.
In the beginning of 2010 he was :
img707.imageshack.us/img707/9185/unbenannthkf.jpg

Tour of Austria - Stage 3
Kitzbühel - Lienz
img8.imageshack.us/img8/3436/pcm0001a.jpg
The stage is quite hilly and especially the final two climbs will split the peloton. Martin shouldn`t have big problems to stay in the first group today. We expect a successful breakaway or a smaller group around Martin fighting for the win.

img338.imageshack.us/img338/6563/pcm0002.jpg
Rabon (Vacansoleil), Ricci Bitti (ISD) and Facchi (Quickstep) are the 3 riders in the break. Rabon is developed into an good puncheur with time trial skills. He might be the favourite if the group is coming to the final climbs.

img267.imageshack.us/img267/89/pcm0003.jpg
Like yesterday Garmin is doing the pace. None of the riders ahead is really a danger, but we want to avoid a too fast pace on the final climb when other riders fear for their positions.

On the last climb it`s surprisingly the ISD rider, who got rid of the other two and not Rabon. But all of them are quite close to the favourite`s group.

18 riders are leading the race now. Martin in yellow is the only Garmin rider but it`s mostly going downhill now. So he will defend his jersey.
Tschopp is missing in this group and will lose some placements today.

Martin had no chance in the final sprint. Matteo Carrara takes the stage ahead of Valjavec and Taaramae. Rabon with the mountain jersey completes a good day for Vacansoleil.

So Zabriskie will probably leave the team looking for a new challenge. Everytime we ask him for a new contract he answers, that he still needs time to think about it.
And now after signing Haussler we could need the 20.000 per month of Zabriskie`s salary.
He had already 6 months to think about it without an answer.

Wow.. me sleeps and a whole new page is played! Great win by Farrar and Martin, too difficult for Martin too lose the overall now Smile
Bad that Hesjedal and Schleck already lost so many time =(

And great signing in Felline, it looks like he's improving really fast Smile

baia
Martin managed to defend his shirt...thanks for posting that one from Fellini, still hes more weak in my story...about Zabriskie,if he wants to play with this team hes very wrong..

Great signings, great job by Martin so far, its gonna be hard for Hesjedal to get top10 but with some luck he will do it. What is Hesjedal fitness right now ?
