To answer some questions:
1) keepers are free to join as well
2) stat gains count for any stat you want
3) going for the same position for multiple times is valid, just need at least three choices, blame bureaucracy

I´ll probably do the shoot-out tonight, so don´t hesitate to put your penalty choices if you haven´t yet

Penalty shoot-out, round 1 Sanchez was not afraid to be the first penalty taker with more than ten of his teammates looking at him, trying to destabilize him. Goalie Maes went for the bottom left corner, Sanchez' penalty went in the other corner, he's through to the next round.
Next in line was Vertongen. The blue-haired left-back had a nightmare, as his first attempt went wide. His teammates mocked him heavily, he went into the changing rooms crying.
Even though Maes had dived to the lower left corner twice in a row already, Garner-Hammarling Junior went for that shot. Our goalie stayed in the centre as the ball went in, the Swede also continuing to the next round.
Oof, painful moment for Wall. He went for the panenka, but Maes saw it coming. The defensive midfielder brushed the laughter off: 'I didn't want to win anyway.'
Bobson's shot went to the mid right, but so did Maes! The shot was good enough though and went it right next to the post. Big sigh by Bobson, as he was the third to continue to round two.
Perun went for a hard shot trough the middle, but was unable to beat Maes this way. The goalie stood still and boxed the ball away.
A lot of pressure on Macduff's shoulders then. He went for the upper right corner as he does in our games as well, and Maes was prepared for it, choosing the same direction to dive! Once again a very solid penalty by our centre back, as the ball went in and he continued to the next round as well.
From one centre back to the other. Perfetto clearly a bit less used to taking penalties, as his shot missed the target. No Italian fury after the miss, just a little grin on his face.
Huber had a great game against Mumbai and wanted to show he's a man of many talents. His penalty went into the lower right corner, as Maes dived the other way. Round two for Switzerland as well!
A nice penalty by Martens followed, going straight for that upper left corner. Maes denied his fellow countryman the goal with an incredible save though, top class from our goalie! Martens told him he is 'een klein klootzakje', whatever that means.
Posterboy Callahan was next in line. Simple but precise penalty into the lower right corner, as he's also through to the next round.
Same story for Torres, except his ball went into the bottom left corner. One goal against Mumbai and a goal against Maes, nice week for him.
Maes was tired of goalkeeping and decided to shoot a penalty himself. Santana took place in goal. And it went in! Maes into round two as well!

Penalty shoot-out, round two Garner-Hammarling Junior was the first to start in round two. Santana was the keeper in this round. The Swede went for the lower right corner, Santana went the other way. Two for two for our Scandinavian attacking midfielder!
Bobson was next in line. His penalty, aimed to the left side, wasn't perfect. Santana didn't dive, however, which means our right-back also continues to round three!
Just as in the first round, Sanchez went for the lower right corner. Santana clearly didn't pay a lot of attention, diving the other way. Another person onto the next round!
Macduff went for top bins again, left side this time. Santana read him well, but the shot was just too good. Four out of four players continuing!
The penalties only getting better now. Unstoppable shot by Huber in the upper right corner, also advancing to the next round.
He was just a poster boy, he said see you later boy. Nice shot by Callahan in the lower right corner. Santana came close, but not close enough. Is nobody going to miss?
Not Torres! His shot went into the bottom left corner, as Santana dived the other way. Only one player left.
And it's goalie Maes who is the first and only one to miss! The Belgian's shot hits the post! As a consolation prize he's being sent back into goal for round three, with still seven players left!
Penalty shoot-out, round three
Garner-Hammarling Junior went for the same place as last round, and it was neatly put in once again. Hattrick for GHJ.
Bobson also went for the same place, mid left. The defender surprising himself, as Maes stood still and the ball went in for the third time. Tension keeps on rising.
Cheeky Sanchez doing it again! He keeps going for the bottom right and it keeps going in!
Oooh, Macduff is out! First time ever he went for a low penalty, and the ginger immediately regrets it! Maes went to the right side and saved the ball, as Sanchez taunts the centre back with a 'SIUUUU'.
Huber did not want to make the same mistake, going for the upper right corner. Good decision by the Swiss, as Maes went the other way.
Callahan shooting penalties like he never did anything else. Perfect shot into the upper right corner.
Far from a great penalty by striker Torres then, but Maes didn't move and it went in. Only two players out of eight have missed a penalty in two rounds. Let's see if the next round sees us lose more players.
Penalty shoot-out, round four The roles got reversed this time, as Torres immediately has to start again. He went for the top left corner and succeeded again!
Callahan also went for the left, but the bottom corner. His adventure ends here, as Maes dives to the right side and stops the penalty!
Not the perfect penalty then by Huber, and for a moment he looked to be done as well. Might have been an optical illusion though, as Maes tried to stare the ball out of his goal instead of making a rather simple save. Huber is still alive!
Never change a winning team and/or penalty placement style. Fourth time lower right corner for Sanchez, fourth goal!
And Bobson is out as well! Second save for Maes in the bottom left corner in this round!
Maes is on a roll now! Decent penalty by Garner-Hammarling Junior going for the bottom right, but strong save by our Belgian goalie! Three saves out of six attempts sees three players left in the shoot-out: Torres, Huber and Sanchez.
Penalty shoot-out, final. We already know the players winning stat points, now we just have to see in what order they end up.
Huber the first to shoot, and .. Maes stands still as he shoots through the middle! The power was decent, but Maes is also a decent goalie of course, boxing the ball away! The only hope left for the Swiss is that both the others miss their penalty as well!
But Sanchez' ball goes in! All pressure on Torres now, going for the upper right corner, and... he misses! Good shot to the upper right corner, but great save by Maes! This means Sanchez is the winner of the penalty shoot-out he started himself, earning 5 stat points. Shared second Torres and Huber both get a +3, whereas numbers 4-6 Callahan, Bobson and Garner-Hammarling Junior get one stat point as well. You can expect a ranking update tomorrow.

GHJ +1 Sprint
Good shoowing from the Keepers, well above average on making saves there. Hopefully this helps them also progress.

That was fun. If only there were a sliding tackle competition - if you injure your opponent, you are through to the next round.

Good job by Huber, although it looks like even the win would have been possible. Well, +3 is good anyway.
+1 weak foot
+1 dribbling

Looking at the latest table... pretty much any fan would love to see his team do so well. Really no complaints, great season.
