Monstrous performance by Alejandro. I thought he had blown it when he dragged the rest up to Moreno, but he was just a beast anyway. His most impressive Liége so far.
Edit: Oh, and the Norwegian commentators are horrible. Just as the sprint to the line happening, they were depressed that Nordhaug lost contact with the group, and just mentioned Valverde in passing as he crossed the line.

They do have a good "doctor" on staff
You wouldn't expect Etixx to be able to hold onto all these talents for to long

Either Valverde is still doped, either he was the biggest idiot ever to do that. With his talent, he could've won so much while clean.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Nobody says anything about Louis, so I will
Very good rider from a lad who considers himself to be a stage racer. And I'm so happy to have a guy like him representing South Africa. Down to earth and very humble. Always willing to have a chat with young guys like me. Good on him.

Purito should have won that. He was comfortably in group whole day. Maybe its just his age. Anyway maybe Moreno should be protected for future one day races by Kathusa.
I think Purito was strong, but he is not the guy, that should win against Valverde and Alaphillipe in a sprint. He was the only one who really could follow Valverde.
He should have done more actually. The more climbing action the better for Purito. He was really strong in Pais Vasco and did nothing in first two Ardennes races. Not a single attack by him. Seems like age and the many defeats of the past have sucked out the little attacking that was left in him. Quite a shame. He didn't deserve to get the big one today, especially when your team is in almost god-mode.

I was going to mention him but couldn't spell his last name Big ride from him and really is coming on this season, big talent and can't wait to see him in the high mountains later in the season.

A deserved win for Valverde, though I'm still not a fan of his favourite 'expect everyone else to do the chasing when they know that all that will serve is to drag me to the finish line so I can outsprint them' tactic, but he did eventually cotton on to the idea that he might actually have to do some chasing and once he'd realised that there was never going to be any other winner.
Other teams should have realised that he was isolated in the last few kilometres and done more to try and make him do more chasing, only had to chase down one attack. Who knows, he may still have probably been the strongest in the sprint even if he had had to do that, but there's no harm trying is there?

Don't forget Betancur please over all your Valverde hype/hating. Guy got a vety, very solid top 100, could be looking to challenge for the odd stage Top 50 at the Giro (if he's going).

Having seen him in person I can definitely say his one for the mountains. He's short, but very thin and his legs are skinnier than a puncheur's. Should be able to have a decent ride at le Tour.
As for his surname, Meintjes. I'd like to extend a mention to all commentators that it is pronouced "Main-kees" and not "Men-ches". South African, not Portuguese

Well I do think that a lot of the peloton is doping if that's what you are asking?

Well, John-Lee Augustyn isn't a believer in modern Valverde. He says ol' Valv was a big doper a few years back and JL implied he's still doing so today.

I thought there is a "codex" thingy in cycling, that no-one says that someone else dopes...or am I wrong with this?
