Too many freaking blue teams in the peleton. It's already hard to tell them apart. Now FDJ is blue too? At least Blanco is green as Belkin but still.

Wanting to hide your training values isn't all that suspicious.
The point of publishing training datas is that riders can only respond to training (= improve their ability to perform) up to a certain point. So, if he doesn't do anything exceptional while training, but that he is or becomes much stronger than his opponents, either he's an exceptional human being (but all top pros are), either there's... something else. |

Precisely.
Training data is posted by bikepure precisely due to being so much more reliable than blood values to pinpoint current dopers.

But surely he wouldn't want to give other teams an insight into them from a tactical perspective. Particularly given how well Movistar have been pushing Sky this year.

I don't see any training or other values on the bikepure's website, only a pledge (which basicly means nothing) and a list of a certain rider's achievements which in most cases stops at 2010/2011. |

More stuff that happened. Or "news" if you like labels
- The dutch have already (!!) named their world championships team, way ahead of schedule. 4 rabo guys (Mollema, Gesink, Kelderman, ten Dam) and Weening. For the TT, Westra and Terpstra.
A bit early, but it'll be itneresting to see if the different approach works. It's definitely a team suited to the course. They want the riders to train together for a long time.
- Kimmage has finally asked of Sky what so many have been waiting for a long time for someone to ask them directly. Since usually on a team that wants to be careful the drugs are distributed directly only to the core of 4-5 top guys that they're focusing on - the famous US Postal white bags - the team's stage racing core usually, Kimmage asked of Brailsford why it is that Hagen has stagnated so completely at Sky and hasn't developed into a world beater.
I've never seen Brailsford sweat so much. Stammered, stuttered and finally replied words to the effect of "well, that's your opinion" and moved on to the next question.
Pretty pertinent question. Why has Hagen's development stopped stone cold when nobodies are turning into stars?

Imagine what would have happened had they used their 'program' on Boasson Hagen and Lovkvist instead of Froome and Porte.

Well for a start we all be claiming EBH and Lofkvist were doping, then asking why nobodies like Froome were even on the team

Yep, we would.
But the thing is Sky always promised, and were founded on the basis of, a BRITISH Tour winner in 5 years. Not a winner on a british team.

Lack of "special programs" and lack of ambition. He doesn't possess the killer instinct required to become one of the greats, and is happy just following the orders from the team, which is why he'll never be anything more than a work horse at Sky, and he probably won't leave as long as Sky are happy with him. |

Back in 2010 me and Waghlon decided to prank a certain respected forum member here who is a Sky fan. Waghlon told him a Sky rider had tested positive. When asked who, Waghlon panicked and said "Froome".
Response: "Oh. I don't care about Froome". You should see how happy he was a year later when Froome came a few seconds from winning the Vuelta against doped to the eyeballs Cobo
