Finally, Edmondson showed our jersey at the very end with a solid top 10 in what looked like a brutal stage.
Still a disappointing race for us, though looking at the rankings, we're actually the best of the shit teams, so I'll take that.

Great all-encompassing final Giro update there Bikex.
A great showing from the team to be the 3rd biggest scorers there, didn't think we would finish above the likes of Air China. And that with Porte not impressing, he must have fallen along the way and injured himself to lose 5 minutes to Uran on stage 20.
In one race GazFroome come flying out of the pack and emerge as challengers for the WT title, we will have a real idea about that contest with the upcoming triple-header clashing WT races.
Prorace still jersey-less, unless we get a jersey for combativity? I doubt it! |

Some very nice statistics there. I love how my sprinting team performed. Can we continue in the other GTs equally good? Can we even top Liberty Seguros' record for most stage wins in a GT season?
We'll try at least

Not a good Giro for us, with Aru in 18th place. We did however win a stage and wore the pink jersey 2 stages. |

Even so, Purito will rock Vuelta this season.
Giro has been quite a dull affair for us but it was to be expected. Pleased with Herrada, massively disappointed with Verona. No stage win is really bitter and too little breakaway attempts. We have lost our edge, stupid transition years pfft.

One stage win for Cunego, 10th in GC for Pozzovivo and an okay total points.

Ok, that wasn't a good Giro for us. ;P But I think it'll get better from now.

I dont care as long as Kittel will repeat his amount of stage wins there

well 3rd place overall is much more than I expected, hopefully we get something from the Tour and Kiserlovski is able to finish top 5 in the Vuelta. then the GT would be a complete succes for the Vegeta Cycling Team.
if only Podravka would be able so score points consistantly
also, highest team finishers were always either Rafael Valls or Rafal Majka. I need more Rafa(e)l's on my team

Amaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!!!! What a fuckingly incredible giro:
We won 2 stages (and i forgot to mention that Cattaneo was asddfggh in the 20th) ;
We are the best scoring CT team (:cool and the 2nd best team in the team classification by time ;
With Gazzetta, we are the CT team with most stage wins ;
Rosa is in the top 25 ;
Cattaneo 6th in Kom and top 10 among young riders;
Colbrelli just outside the points top 10...
Great giro and congrats to krisa as well, we've both had a fantastic giro
Sad to see Seeldrayers losing the kom to Froome though :s

Well, it's time for Velits and Costa to start racing properly now and getting some serious points, especially Costa.

Actually we're not just that. You remember Kwiatkowski was still leading the Indiviudial Rankings until the Giro? On top of that, Bouhanni and De Clercq also scored some solid points.
Speaking of that, Froome was OP as expected. A solid win in the GC while also taking 3 stage wins - and the KoM jersey. Biggest surprise were De Clercq and Losada though who came 12th and 16th overall though obviously working for Froome.
A little disappointment was Bouhanni though. Seems like sprinters are not working for Gazprom. Last year Kristoff disappointed - and now Bouhanni didn't make the podium in even one stage.
But I can't complain after all.. now only waiting for the rankings update

Giro Overview
Our team did really great this Giro. 2 Stage wins(same as last year)
Team Overview
Giovanni Visconti: 10/10 For Me he was the most combative (Gusev just did'nt work that much) + He got a nice stage win + several top 10
Enrico Battaglin: 9/10 Didn't finish this Giro. But he won stage 14
Stefano Pirazzi: 7/10 Not showed his jersey very much, but give us a top 20 which is really nice.
Nicola Boem: 7/10 Was in 2-3 Breakaways which was his job
Ivan Santaromita: 7/10 1-2 top tens and a breakaway, he did pretty well
Adriano Malori 6/10 We expected more from him in the ITT and the TTT
Manuele Boaro: 3/10 Did he actually race this giro
Sacha Modolo: 1/10 He didn't sprint he just sucked wheel, doing nothing one top ten is way too low for him

Sorry for the slow pace at the moment.
Tomorrow I'm home all day so I guess I'll be able to get up to date with all stuff to get the ICL going in a higher pace again. |
