Quick Breakdown:-
The Good
Mountain AI
The overall look
The Map feature
3D racing in general, if you ignore that breaks seem to win 2/3 times
The Bad
Career Mode
Breaks seem to win 2/3 times
For a manager game this seems like a general fail...

In career mode, there's the problem that you can find riders like Evans, van Garderen, Contador, Rodriguez, Nibali and Sanchez in nearly every World Tour Race. Riders like Quintana, Dan Martin, Klöden etc. haven't got any chance to win little stage races like Paris-Nice, although they have already won them in reality. That's quite stupid!
Can I do something against that? |

Started a career with a 100% young riders custom team as I usually do first. As everybody says, the season planning is unfortunately, what's the word, shite! I have an 18 year old sprinter that wants only .HC races, which clearly we can't gain an invitation for. So that's wonderful.
Left that alone, did what most people did. Alpe d'Huez with Sky. Finally seeing this mountain AI! Great! Just six riders left after the Sarenne. Froome, Porte, Uran, Contador, Purito and Valverde. After Valverde was dropped, Froome was able to respond to everything the other two had and then rode away in the last two kilometres. Seeing Froome doing the "Forrest Gump" celebration is hilarious, can't imagine it in real life!!
Now, let's have some patches Cyanide!! |

It's amazing isn't it? Career is so much crap and all that. But once you get into those mountains, you forget all about that. What an amazing experience.
Also the reason why I just bought the console game --> same mountain AI, more beautiful stages, longer climbs and there is no career mode |

How heavily do you relay on climbs to make selection? |

Yes, that can be edited by the community (in the DB, table STA_program_info). Or at least should be editable

But it's true, riders ride waaaaaay too many races.
If you give them a realistic amount of races they complain.
If they're not racing constantly. And I do mean constantly, they complain
EDIT: Oh and get ready for every single one of your best riders to underperform because they're constantly mad at you
Of course, as usual, Cyanide will ignore all of this

I wouldn't mind if they complain constantly, but I guess they also lose happiness or whatever that stat is called. And guessing further, it surely hurts the performance massively when having bad mood, right? |

sounds like the happiness decreases too quickly, which is why most top pros are riding (basically) every race
might need toning down slightly then
new feature, there's bound to be bugs in it
i don't have the game yet, waiting for an australian release (or waiting for pigs to fly seems like it'd be sooner)

I have to say, with all the career problems and whatnot, that I'm still really enjoying this game.
The reason? Mountain AI and new fitness sytem (in stage race mode in particular).
You really have to watch your attacks, because you might end up dead at the start of the next stage You just start with a lowered green, yellow and red bar.
However, one minor issue: in stage-race mode, a rest day doesn't exist. So if you think about going all-out the day before the rest day, you'll be sorry the day after. |

Just got mine Ian played 2 stages of TDU with OPQS Kwiatkowski attacked 5 kms towards the end and won the stage, I also done the Alpe d'Huez with Saxo came 2nd with Contador, Muran, I mean Uran was about to take the stage and me and Froome sprinted and caught loads up to him but I love the Mountain ai. And 1 other point which is odd on pcm 12 as you know I had bugs etc and had crap graphics on PCM 13 their all on 2 lol, I was worried about buying the game because of PCM 12. |

I was in a local record store a few hours ago and went to the game section. Guess which game was the most abundant?
10 copies of PCM, that was more than Black Ops II and The Sims combined! |

At first I was very impressed with the PCM13, now after few days I must say I am disappointed. Game keeps crashing, settings are set back to default every day, I don't know why are you so satisfied with mountain gameplay, every time I play Mount Ventoux stage riders got stuck behind others despite good positioning before climb. Peleton slips into few groups but always some leaders are stuck and it's annoying. Moreover the gaps are too big and that also occurs every time I play mountain stage, favourites attack at the beginning of the final climb with 18kms to go.... really great mountain AI. New fitness system might work out in career mode but can't say that until cyanide fixes game so I can start my career. In single stage/race mode new system is not worth any effort as the "old" fitness system was perfect as the bonus fitness could have been set in database and riders were performing in-game like they usually perform during season, now it's gone. From the graphic POV the game looks incredible I must admit but that's not what I was looking for.

What do you mean with too big?
The gap itself or the calculated gaptime?
In my opinion the gaps are OK but the calculated time is way too big. |

Obviously I meant time difference at the finish, It's kind of ridiculous when there's 90sec gap between first and the second rider after attacking 2kms from the finish, then another riders start crossing the line 3 minutes later and so on. The mountain stages look great, the riders climbing look great but it has nothing to do with the reality.

You gotta understand that it happens mostly due to the scale of the stage compared to reality. |

WRONG!
It has nothing to do with scale, as everything is supposed to be scaled to the same degree, especially Time! Cyanide have just made the gaps too big and too easy to make.
I said this would happen before the game came out that they would go too far the other way. Now it is too easy to make gaps and that you can eliminate 1/4 of the field on one stage, and around half by the end of a GT.
