Stop screaming doping after each win of a "lesser" rider. He was just great, over deserved win. If you can crush Rodriguez and catch Nibali you are the stongestin race.
So you don't find it suspicious, that a rider at the age of 31 makes his first impressive win, given the way he does, the riders he beats, and the team he rides for?
Anyway, this isn't the thread to discuss this I guess.
You know, just because a rider isn't that well-known it doesn't mean he's bad. He has shown multiple times that he can handle classics of this length (ending both in the top 10 of the Ronde and MSR before). He finished 3th in E3 before, being beaten in a 3-man sprint by Pozzato and Boonen. He has finished 4th in Tirreno, won the Strade Bianchi.

You might be one of the most retarded humans out there Dizzle. Iglinsky has won Strade Bianchie, finish 4th at Tirreno in 2010. Second place at strade this year. Edged out of top tens in the Ardenes. Was Contadors last mountain helper in 08. So tell me, how hassent he proven himself?
Already there I laughed.
Maybe he has proven himself - to some extent. But winning LBL the way he does, I find highly unlikely to happen on fair terms. I have my opinions and you have yours, why do you have to call me retard?
Funny as soon someone mentions doping, you all go crazy.

Shame on you all who are certain Iglinsky is a doper. With this optics, Froome is the doper, Tiernan Locke is the doper, Cobo is doper, Rolland is doper and the king of dopers would be Gilbert, for what he has done last year. Your world is very black and white, sad fact.

@Dizzle
Simpley because a Kazakh wins he get's called a Doper, no one was suspisious of Gerrans this year, he also got a classic win? But wait, the europeans and Australians are squeeky clean.

If you don't like Iglinskiy or so than just say nothing. But don't start saying that he obviousely doped because of a first very big prestation.

There's no doping thread, so since it's related to a performance in this race, I guess it would be appropriate to discuss it here.
I also dislike when people go shouting 'doper' whenever a lesser rider wins. Especially in this year's Ardennes, with very strange results, favorites having problems/out of form, etc.

I think saying that any Kazakstani rider is doped is slightly unfair. This result is much less suspicious than plenty of others. It felt like Iglinski just made the move at the right time, and Nibali died.

Dizzle, count how many people said that Igliskiy isn't a certain doper. Than you'll know how stupid your response was.

Dont listen to them, you know british, australians and nordic cyclist never dope, at least in mouths of their fans.
Iglinsky was always great rider, nothing overwhelming to see him doing this sort of the result.

So you think when more people have the same opinion, it becomes the truth? Wow.. Really?
I have the right to have my own opinions, just because you might not like my opinions, doesn't mean you're right.

This. Riding for Astana is always going to make you a bit shabby, but this is very far, in terms of how surprising it is, from Froome's Vuelta for instance.

@Avin Wargunnson.
I just think it's stupid that if a Russian, Slovak or Kazakh wins they all get called a doper. Simpley because they are from Easten Europe. Iglinsky rode a tactical race today, when no one was willing to work he went of the front. And it payed of. Froome's Vuelta was much more impresive last year, but then it was no speculation. It just shows that anyone that's not from central europe is called a Doper

and perhaps controversial opinions should just be opinions kept to yourself...
if he has doped you can rub it in peoples face, but other wise you just look like a fool

Fantastic riding by Nibali. Great surprise with Iglinskiy, but as with Gasparotto great to see them win. Scarponi surprised me as I thought he looked abit out of shape, but he will be dangerous in May. |

Which favorites were out of form apart from Gilbert or had problems?
Pozzato sucks!
