Would be a nice set of questions for an anti-round, aiming for the lowest score. Would be absolutly mind-boggling to choose which day of the week nobody else would take...
I was trying to think of questions with answers that didn't necessarily have a "hierarchy" to see what would happen, but I didn't quite succeed as there was still at least one thing to fall back on, and that's the order of things. We had two questions again that had an overwhelming answer and that were therefore very punishing if you missed it, more so than I would typically like, but what can you do (well, except trying to limit that in the future).
1. Name a day of the week.
The theme of going with the order of things starts here, but this question was still the most balanced one: Both the first day of the week, Monday, as well as the last, Sunday, got you 5 points. 2 each for Friday and Saturday.
2. Name a month.
I was a bit surprised at first to see so many mentions of July, until I realized that's the month we're in - another interesting criterion for the decisionmaking. 7 points for that, 5 for the first month of the year, January, 1 each for August and December, despite the latter being clearly the best month, according to TMM.
3. Name a decade of the 20th century.
This was the first of two 11-point answers. On the one hand, it surprised me quite a bit, since I thought there was little to go on, which in my mind should have led to a diverse group of answers, but probably went the opposite way and you clang to the small thing that could be decisive: recency. The 90s were by far the most popular answer, 2 for the 80s, 1 for the 40s.
4. Name a consonant.
There was still a clear top answer here, but not quite as overwhelming as the previous one. Again, you mostly went with the first option available as B got you 7 points. S, one of the most used consonants, at least was worth 2 points, the other two most used ones, S and T, only got 1 point, as did M and, to my surprise, X and Z.
5. Name a vowel.
This was the second 11-point answer. It was clear to me that only two vowels would be chosen, but I expected a much closer race between the first and the most used one. Instead, A ran away with it, leaving E with just 3 points.
Standings
There's a pretty harsh devide between the 6 people who got at least 4 of the top answers and the others who missed at least 2. Not ideal, but it does shake up the overall, which doesn't have to be bad.
roturn, bbl and df_Trek get a perfect round, jandal7 and Ollfardh go wrong with January over July while ivaneurope drops down due to choosing Friday. On the other side of the split, at least no one misses both of the 11 pointers, which is good.
I said last time that Nemolito was just one bad round away from this becoming a wide open race again and well, there you have it. ivaneurope takes the lead by just one point ahead of roturn and another over Ollfardh. You can clearly see this round's influence, as the Top 5 in the GC now consists of five of its Top 6. The sixth was bbl, who uses the boost to move up from last place, which now belongs to jseadog.

Some sort of Geography/History hybrid, I suppose?
1. Name a country that had been a colony but no longer is.
2. Name a country whose influence was once greater than it is now.
3. Name a country with a foreign head of state.
4. Name a country that has changed its name at least once in its history.
5. Name an island country.
Deadline is Friday, June the 16th, 8pm daily time, or whenever all answers are in.
Nailed it with the 90s and A... then blew everything away with August (SUMMER VACATION YAYYYY) and M. Well, I am at least safely tucked in the middle of the pack.

This round was closer to Round 1, points-wise, than the previous two with their big-point answers. Four out of the five questions proved very diverse, as interesting as I hoped it would be, with only 4 and 5 points for the top answers. One stood out against that, a 9 pointer that could break your round if you didn't get it. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
1. Name a country that had been a colony but no longer is.
The United States - arguably not one single colony, but still - topped Q1 with 5 mentions. India (3) and Australia (2) were the only other ones mentioned more than once.

2. Name a country whose influence was once greater than it is now.
Two of the biggest colonial empires took the most points, the UK (4) narrowly beating out Spain (3). No other country got more than 1 point, in part because I decided to count the USSR and Russia as distinct answers, since they are not the same country, after all (we'll get back to that ...).

3. Name a country with a foreign head of state.
I expected this to be a close call between Australia and Canada, but instead Australia ran away with it, eventually giving 9 points to everyone who answered it, by far the most of this round. Canada only ended up with 2, 1 point each went to Andorra, Gambia and St Kitts & Nevis as part of TMM's Carribean 5 pointer.
4. Name a country that has changed its name at least once in its history.
So, this is where we get back to Russia. Now, I get the sentiment, but arguably Russia didn't change its name so much as it was newly created from the remains of the USSR and thus given an entirely new name? Well, it's debatable I guess. Anyway, you got 4 points for that, but also 4 points for North Macedonia. 2 points for Swaziland->Eswatini, just 1 for Myanmar (which surprised me a bit), Zimbabwe, the UK (similar to Russia, maybe?) and, of course, St Kitts & Nevis.
5. Name an island country.
Another diverse category with 4 points for the top answer, which was Australia. 3 for the United Kingdom, 2 for both Japan and Iceland, one for Ireland, Indonesia (the most populous island country) and ... St Kitts & Nevis (not sure if we ever had 4x the same answer in one round).
Standings
Ollfardh scores a perfect round to take the win here, ivaneurope falls 2 points short. jandal is the only participant who has 4/5 top answers, but Myanmar makes him drop to 3rd. At the bottom, TMM scores the first 5-pointer of this game, otherwise the bottom 5 are unfortunately defined by missing Autralia in Q3.
Ollfardh and ivaneurope head into the final round tied at the top, a very close race. jandal7, roturn and df_Trek are all within just 7 points and arguably, even Nemolito still has a shot. TMM also still has a shot at taking over last place, but bbl, DarkWolf and kandesbunzler are also in danger if jseadog finishes with a great round.

TV
1. Name a critically acclaimed TV series.
2. Name an animated series other than The Simpsons.
3. Name a sitcom.
4. Name an actress or actor who is primarily associated with one TV series.
5. Name a TV series that is not from the US.
I recognize not everyone is super into TV, but I hope the questions are broad enough that they can be answered even with a passing knowledge. Deadline is Monday, June 19th, 8pm daily time.
(not sure if we ever had 4x the same answer in one round).
For my Archaeology A-Level we had to answer two essay questions. I was able to write the same answer twice, and still go an A
