Chances are high that the team gains less quality in total than it would have if everyone went for +2, obviously. Modern football, right?
Sepp wants to prove that guys with this first name can actually be team players, so +2 Long Passing.

Okay I'm gonna be honest, I legitimately didn't remember that despite it being a day ago and 2 posts above. Could have sworn I did +2. I guess I'm just not as good of a person as I like to think I am

So, if we all do +2, that means +2 across the board. So +2 average.
If too many do +4 you will get situations where we we will get 4-2 (this would mean 4 and 0 so +2 average) and situations with 4-4 (this would mean 0, so 0 average). In general that would mean our avereage stat gain would be somewhere between 0 and 2.
So yeah..

Plus, obviously, it would be smarter to post a +2 in the thread and then send a sneaky PM with a +4 to Nemolito. 
But that aside, I won't mind being matched up with a +4 guy, Perfetto was never meant to become a good player, I'll happily help somebody else improve.

Next game coming soon, time for the statgains. The lottery decided the following pairs to be matched:
Perfetto vs. Macduff: Our two centre backs against one another. Usually a strong pair, this time an interesting duel. Whereas Perfetto tried being a team player, it's the Scot with the moustache improving his heading by 4.
Wall vs. Garner-Hammarling Junior: Another team player getting beaten by a +4 guy here, as our offensive (on the pitch ) Swedish player receives a +4 in finishing.
Vertongen vs. Washington: Vertongen will remain a useless idiot, but striker Washington is now one step closer to being a real life Speedy Gonzalez. +4 in sprint speed for the American.
Perun vs. Martens: Another 4 vs. 2 here, no points for Martens. Maybe the God of Thunder will make up for it on the pitch with some great passing to the Belgian thanks to his +4 in vision.
Sanchez vs. Torres: Si si si como estas? Sanchez yet another +4 taking the maximum of the points, as Torres was going for a +2. Central attacking midfielder Sanchez improves his finishing by 4.
Bobson vs. Maes: Thanks to the right back changing from a +4 to +2, we finally get two winners! Bobson literally becomes a stronger man, whereas Maes improves his reflexes.
Unpaired: Huber: The Swiss didn't get anyone in the draw, which means his long passing is improved by 2.

Tbf my logic was that not everyone would actively respond, so there was a chance of +4 vs 0. Then obviously enough +2'ers, you're all great guys btw, going +4 would be a fairly easy win.
Until i saw Washington, and i had a sinking feeling Nemo would pair us up based on our good on-the-field partnership. And like heck would i back down in that situation!
Sorry Wall, you are unfortunate collateral damange. Take it up with the manager for not properly scheduling training times

Very lucky to not get a single 4-4 in the draws, so that's good for the team overall.
Happy I changed my vote. It cost Bobson +2 strength, but the requisite upgrade to Maes will benefit the team overall.
