It won't be anywhere near as good as the Vuelta, that was great. The TDF just isn't raced that way and the GC riders are more of a Diesel type anyway for the most part. Also if Contador can't find his usual form then Froome will just dominate the mountains... and still do better in the TTs than anyone else. So honestly I wouldn't get your hopes up, at least until we see what happens at Dauphine/Suisse.

Where do you guys expect Schleck's level to be in the mountains come July ?
I must say I'm uncertain about it, but he's showed signs of improvement through the season, so I'm not sure where his progression will end. Not that I'm longing to see that happen, but maybe there's he's the one guy who could outclimb Froomechkin if Contador isn't able to ? |

Concerning Schleck, it's hard to predict. No matter his past, he's extremely talented and could well be in top shape in a short period with the proper motivation. I expect him in the mountains, hope he lives up to that |

I doubt he will be anywhere near his best. He hasn't had enough quality, hard race days in his legs to build strong form. Plus he just doesn't seem to be in a good mental space, and given that mentality is half of this sport, that will hurt him.

Froome is way better than Andy has ever been.
I can see him (Andy) possibly staying with the other contenders on the stage to Ax-3-Domaines, but he will eventually realise that he can't keep up with them and crash down the GC. Wouldn't surprise me if he abandons.

Schleck to abandon the Tour after either the 1st or 2nd rest day. |

I believe Andy reduced his doping after his brother got busted, so he has no chance to outclimb Froome (given that Froome is still doped up to the hair-ends).

He will lose a ridiculous amount of time on the timetrials. Especially the one with the two descents.
Still might make the racing exciting, some stages should suit him. What will be intresting, If he has good form and attacks at the foot of Ax3, will Froome or Contador react or watch at each other. If he is still relatively close in GC then ofcourse.

Why do you say that? Both Schlecks were already a lot worse last year than previous, and Andy has had a serious injury/been lazy as hell and that started before Fränk was caught. He has also shown signs of serious improvements from Tireno to California where he was actually an active part of the race.
I think we will see a good indication in Tour de Suisse, if he can climb in top 30/fight for a stage or two in the break I think we could see a strong Andy in the Tour. |

True, the Tour is never that good as the Vuelta. I think the Vuelta is the best GT of all three at the moment.
But about the Tour: The good part is that Contador attacks a lot, as you've already seen early in this season (Tirreno). So also if Froome is better than Contador, Contador will try to attack.
I hope to see Andy win a stage when he can't ride a classification, what I also expect at the moment. But it's still hard to see him struggling like this.

It could be very exciting. Froome is probably better from what we've seen now but Contador won't race to get second and will try to defeat Froome in any possible way.
It will also be important how good Purito and El Imbatido are. They could make the racing even more exciting.

Andy Schleck can turn it on at the tour, it's the only race he cares about. Never doubt him at the tour, he will show up. I don't think he will finish on the podium, but then again, mentally he can apply himself at the tour.

If he does abjectly badly in Tour de Suisse like he did early this season then I don't really think there's much hope for him, but if he shows signs of promising activitiy I can see him doing reasonably well - not a podium though - especially with the time he will lose in the time-trials.

Andy was incosistent in California, he was in the peloton on stage 1 with only about 25 riders (riding near the front), then dropped stage 2, breakaway stages 3 and 7. The Tour de Suisse will be interesting for him.
Also i personally think TVG will do very well in the tour de suisse, maybe even a win.

Andy wont do much at Le Tour, even if he gets a result at Tour De Suisse he is a long way off from Tour standard this season. As for TVG a podium finish at Suisse would be a great result for him, a win might just be out of reach but it wouldn't surprise

Belkin, hmm...
Wonder what changes the team will undergo. I'm sure the team gets more international.
Also, license will be American, no?

I have to add De Telegraaf is The Sun of the Netherlands, so it could still be a rumour.
Im glad there is a new sponsor. A new sponsor is always better than seeing a team die
