Quick Step should sign Renshaw because as a lead out man he was Great but as a sprinter he sucks |

With Petacchi and renshaw, OPQS will have the best lead out imo (if the old italian is still fast)
Uran is just a great rider, can't wait to see him win a mountain stage in an OPQS-shirt
Not so sure about that. Whoever said Petacchi will be a good lead-out?
They say Gert (Steegmans) isn't the best lead-out because he's a sprinter himself and accelerates too quickly. Petacchi has sprinted for his own benefit for so long, I don't know if he would be a perfect lead-out.
Uran will be a tough matter. He will have to go for the GC with maybe 1, 2 guys in protection, since they won't repeat Sky's Tour 2012 with Cavendish. They'll keep the train.
Of course with guys like Kwiatek and Martin, you can support your team on all terrains.
Maybe you are right but I don't think Petacchi isn't in the team to be the last man for Cav. He will also be a teacher for Andrew Fenn as you can read in this article
Mark Coucke mentioned that they want a GC rider that also takes care for Cav on the flat stages. OPQS will never leave Cav on his own. But as you say with Martin, Velits and Kwiatkowski they have a few riders for flat and hills/mountains stages.
I hope the Eneco tour is here fast, so I can see Petacchi in a OPQS-shirt with my own eyes

I just saw this on PCS.
I didn't knew that J. Alaphilippe would ride for OPQS in 2014

?
The whole discussion we're having in this topic is 'They signed Renshaw and Petacchi, why do they need both?"
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

I don't know if he will be a stagaire. But wasn't he it last year?
The only news I found is that he signed a 2 year deal.

Yeah, that's the thing in which I have a big interest. Will OPQS give chances to youngsters from their U23 team? I really hope so, because Petr Vakoc really deserves a chance in a proffesional team. Jan Hirt from Leopard U23 team would maybe deserve one as well. You can't really have enough Czech (or Slovaks) in pro cycling.

I think ever since Lefevre turned down Sagan in 09, he will give every Czech or Slovak he sees a bit of potential in a contract

Rolland wouldn't leave Bernaudeau, particularly not if he moves from leadership to domestique duties at the TDF. Now, if Europcar can't get sponsorship then that's another story... though I still think someone like Cofidis might be an attractive enough prospect.
Oh and in before "Rolland is linked with Sky".

According to Uran's PCS profile , and OPQS PCS profile , Uran signed for OPQS for 2014 season.
Finally some GC rider in OPQS. Velits and Martin does not have it. I am keen to see how will Uran do out of Sky, he was one of the more likeable persons from that team.

Renshaw is for sure the main guy for Cav. Ale Jet will maybe be leadout for Giro (?), and then they have Boonen, Steegmans, and the powerhouse train. HTC Columbia all over again.
Still he will never win green at Tour as long as Sagan is there to compete for it.
But i agree it is one hell of a leadout.

No, but he can go back to winning 5 stages a Tour.

Yeah, speed is still there, but others are emerging to claim a throne of fastest one. Kittel as the most obvious example.

OPQS with one hell of a team, though. Adding Renshaw, Petacchi and Uran. It's scary |

Many riders seem to lose a lot of their GC-talent once they joined OPQS (Velits, Leipheimer, Martin, Brambilla etc.), I hope this doesn't happen with Uran. It's like the opposite of Team Sky . |

I disagree.
Velits had one great Vuelta when his contract was expiring in 2010. The year after, he sucked in all stage races (GC-wise). Then he joined OPQS and was pretty much the same, apart from winning Oman against a weak field.
Leipheimer had a few good week-long stage races in his final season for Radioshack, but was crap at the Tour. Joined OPQS. Won San Luis, finished 3rd in Suisse and USPCC, 6th in Utah and would've been 3rd in Paris Nice if he hadn't crashed on the penultimate stage.
Martin won Beijing and Tour of Belgium, finished 2nd in Algarve and 5th in Pais Vasco in his first OPQS year. That's roughly the same as the year before.
Brambilla was admittedly a bit of a disappointment at the Giro this year, but you have to remember that he was working his ass off for Cavendish all race. He's probably still pretty good, if he got some freedom.
