If you want to fix it in an ongoing career, use an editor to look for generated riders of potential 1 with remarkably high stat limits (they should be very high, so easy to find) and fix them. Also overwrite the xml files with the new ones, of course.

- Acceleration for pot-6/7/8 sprinters increased
- Small chance of pot-7/8 sprinters getting 77/78 in hills added
- Small chance of pot-7/8 flandriens getting 77/78 in hills added
- Small chance of pot-7/8 stage racers getting 66/69 in sprint added
- Small chance of pot-7/8 punchers getting 77/78 in sprint added

Chances of riders getting the maximum potential in all stats are very small and it also varies a lot. For example, chances of a climber scoring 80+ in hills are significantly higher than a flandrien scoring 80+ in time trialing.

Recommendation for rider development control:
Cyanide is very generous with growth potential for non-generated riders, because it's not using the youngrider XML files for their development. So when you start a career, I recommend editing the save game to flatten out certain stat limits for riders who have the chance to get too high. This avoids inflation in general and makes sure that generated riders can become as strong as the ones who are in the PCM.Daily database. So, what I usually do is lowering all limits above 82, as well as limits that I consider unrealistic for certain riders. It's a little bit of work, but combined with my XML files, it should make career mode more realistic and help avoid getting an invasion of 80+ skilled riders.

Oops, wish I would have noticed this earlier. I released a whole new set of XMLs. I had been working on completely overhauling my earlier work (which is what you were editing). Very little of this hasn't changed. Newest files can be found linked into my signature.

Riders older than that will have a age of decline which 1 year older than their current age, so that they'll keep their stats for the first season. But for the rest of them yes (in the PCMDaily DB).

New young riders, will have a different age, ranging from 28-35 years I think at random. Would love to find a place in the game to edit this, but don't know where it is.

In a savegame you can change that in DYN_young_cyclist,
column gene_i_age_decline.

Thanks for the correction, this should've been 0.10 for minmax 5. I will upload a new version on monday with this change.

Hello, i have a problem.
When i want to play a stage it crashes when saying "stream read"
I have no pink flags etc, and when i looked in the stages folder everything seemed to be OK

I just installed it yesterday after a while without PCM, but last time it was working.
No it also doesn't work in officialrelease.
And all stages i tried are crashing...
And a stage in carreer also crashes

If it doesn't work in the Official Release as well, I believe it's not something related to the DB, but rather to the game itself. So I'd rather create a thread/post it on the Technical Forum.

Btw, did you try reinstalling the game, then installing no DBs (only the last patch) and seeing if it works?

No but i am pretty sure that before i unistalled the game (somewhere in september) it was working. And now i want to play again and it doesn't work anymore...
