Nice shot there.
Yeah, Evans is thinking to himself, WTF have i got to do to get rid of him
Maybe Wiggins was checking to see who was with him at the finish? I don't know.
I really don't think so. Nibali has made some spikey comments about Wiggin's and watching it back he looks for Nibali once, clocks him then fully turns towards him and gives it the stare. Further emphasised by the body language and intonation describing Nibali playing the "joker" (yes as in card but said to have the dual disparinging meaning i.e. implying Nibali's a joker) and then calling the move "desperate".
I'm a Wiggo fan and indeed have always admired the way Nibali rides too and quite frankly I'm all for this kind of entertaining nonsense - long may they both play silly buggers

Wiggins called it desperate because he wanted to offend Nibali so that he hopefully doesn't have to chase something like that down again.
IMO, this is just another sign that riders have "boring" riding engrained in their head as the "right" way to ride or win races.

I just wish that Frank had not crashed and was so far back because tomorrow would be just attack attack attack.... Nibali is not that type of rider and so is Wiggins. So it's all up to Evans.

Frank hasn't exactly enlighted this Tour so far either. All I saw him do is jump away from Klöden when already behind. And then follow the Sky train
I think he's past his TdSuisse peak |

This. Also didn't Cancellara almost catch him on the final climb of Stage 7 too?

Frank can only perform when his hair looks ... just right.
It was eleven more than necessary.

He did catch him. Shack had a little picnic in the middle of the climb. Quite funny in my eyes.

He caught him after Frank had dropped with Kloden, but when Frank saw Cancellara coming up to them, he attacked again. In the end he finished 43 secs ahead of Cancellara (at 12th, Cance at 20th).

Well another Porte show yesterday, 30 kms of pacemaking and catching Nibbles, not nice at all. I dont like Voeckler much for his yelling and expressions, but that was great win, shame Jens did not make it. Voeckler is a simulant, my knee is hurting but i will attack and attack still JK it is great to have someone with balls actually.
Also nice move by Liqui yesterday, Peter gained maybe half the minute for Nibbles in the kamikaze downhill. But what is the point of that when master Porte is closing it down with ease.
Shame Sagan went too early at the sprint points, actually there could be nice battle for the green all the way to Champs.

For the first time in ages I'm actually looking forward to the flat again, because the green jersey and sprint battles are by far the most interesting part of this year's tour. Cavendish having no lead out and shedding some weight really has leveled the playing field and each stage there are 3 or 4 riders who can win the sprint for the first time in ages.

I agree absolutely, i am looking forward the most to the flat stages (what you guys did to my beloved cycling that i can say that?). Not only because of Sagan, but because of nice level of what seems to be the fair competition. And as i like Gossy too, my world would not end if he will win the green, but of course i would like it better on somewhere elses shoulders

+1 I'm the same with Sagan. Of course I'd love Goss to win it, but unless he win's a stage or two he doesn't have a chance I don't think, and Sagan definitely deserves it, he is a once in a generation rider and we should be proud to watch him.
My only interest in the mountains at the moment is too see how far Nibali will go just to finish 3rd.

He was also dropped on Col de la Croix when Van den Broeck grilled everyone. Together with Monfort, Zubeldia and Menchov, he made it back at the top, just because Van den Broeck slowed down the acceleration and started to look behind.
Wiggins, Froome, Nibali and Evans were the ones capable of following.
