Good to see the season back under way. Thanks Shonak.
Exciting moment for us as Salvador Celades takes a stage in the USA, becoming the first rider on the team, other than Kittel, to take a win.
Took some of the shine off it that he crashed out the next stage while leading the points. He would only have needed to score 4 more points to win that competition, and would have finished 4th just based on his points through stage 2.
Phinney with a great ride to win Vattenfall. For whatever reason Kittel much better in the stage races than classics this year, although 5th isn't bad.

Your GC leader virtually never crashes out, they said... Gomez' crash in USA PCC was already his second this year iirc, so guess he should be fine for the rest of his career then.
But well, we had already written off this season before anyway, that scenario just fits perfectly into our mediocrity.
Thanks for getting the season on track again, hope the game will go on for another year...

That has to be Bennett's worst race in Ginness colors by far. Not a single day with a good sprint unfortunately.
Mullen also underperformed, by Desjardin and especially Christie did very well to make up for it, so not problem there.

Good to see Senechal equaling Salvador Celades on 1 win. (Although had bad moment when I watched him win S5 on video and then saw the results at him finishing 12th but I think maybe the video is Stage 6).
And great team work from Favilli and Pibernik on Stage 4, first to bring back Senechal after he stupidly got dropped, and then a valiant attempt to bring back Pinzo.
A stage win and a 5th on GC isn't bad. Could have been better, looked like there were gaps on S6 but none got awarded and he only needed 5 seconds to get on the podium.
Thanks for the reports.

That was just horrible to wach, we really need to switch to a new PCM version. Cobbles AI is just horrible. Thanks for the reports though.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Sagan delivers once again, our superstar is damn reliable. A shame Pintzopoulos got a gap on stage 4, but well deserved.

I thought Vanmarcke was a Northern Classics rider? One 3rd place from Honigh is all we get from a race we should be scoring big points in.
Thanks for the reports

3rd in GC, a stage win, some top10s, U25 classification, team classification
not the GC win like last year but amazing focus race for us...agree Cobble AI is terrible

Not sure if there's a newer PCM that handles cobbled stages in stage races in a meaningful way. If your really want the cobblers to do well, I think you must include a carnage stage. Cobbled classics are fun, cobbled stage races aren't. Don't think that has changed a lot since PCM15...

Started reading from the Tour de France again, and was very pleasantly surprised to see Von Folsach take the fifth stage. Not the stage where I’d expected someone else than a sprinter to win, and definitely not the first guy to attack from the break with 5 km to go, but great stuff from the Dane for our first ever GT stage win. Whereas Hoelgaard’s sprints were rather disappointing, it was great to see Von Folsach close again on the fourteenth stage with a decent fourth place in the Herklotz group. Nobody in the top-100 of the GC four us with 2 OTL, not one top-10 from Hoelgaard as a bit of a disappointment, but we’ll always have that stage win. Amazing GC ride from Herklotz.
In the Volta a Portugal I was content with Niemi’s fourth place on the third stage. His sprinting training showing itself, as also shown with another top-5 in the sixth stage. Highlight for us definitely Lecomte winning the eighth stage in his white jersey, that he was just unable to hold in the end. Sorensen coming close in the KoM is also nice, and fun to see how our development team obliterated ‘A-team’ Magnum-Madshus in the Teams classification Ninth and eleventh in the Chrono San Michel was then also decent for our youngsters.
GC-wise we weren’t really up to anything in Vancouver, but a strong second place during the second stage and third in the battle for the green jersey definitely is nothing to be ashamed of.
More of the same in Pologne then, but this time with victories. Three stage podiums including two stage wins from Hoelgaard was a really great way to bounce back after his not so great TdF. Would have expected him to finish 25th in GC before the race
Didn’t get anything out of Northern Europe then, but we immediately made up for it with a stage win in the Baltic Chain Tour, was lovely to see Egsvang also adding a victory to his tally. USA Pro Cycling Challenge results then made very clear we’re not a WorldTour team.
Then it was super to see Lars Bay open the Mauritius Tour with an individual time trial victory for our youngster team. Four more stage top-10’s in three stages then with Bay winning the GC and other Scandinavians Sundqvist and Sundbaum also in the GC top-10 is a dream result.
Post Danmark Rundt then very important for us as a Norwegian/Danish team, and Hoelgaard opening with a win is then obviously super for the sponsors. Clearly only got better when he won the second stage in the yellow jersey, with Dimas as a superb lead-out in second (and even looking like winning it himself on the finish picture). Hope Abhi’s proud of his Greek former talent. Really amazing for Hoelgaard to actually win the GC in the end, and have Danish rider Wang in fourth after podiuming the time trial.
So in general really some nice races for us. Our tactic of not joining too many classics might not always be the smartest ranking-wise, but stage wins like Von Folsach in France immediately make up for it imo. Victories and strong results with many different riders is great to see, and our youngster squad performing so strongly definitely makes this manager a proud man. Thanks Shonak and dominox for the results/vids

Great victory for Italo with Pintzopoulos at Eneco Tour!
I posted the rankings now. Same names still on top. Brugse got a decent gap towards the relegating positions now and the fight for promotion between the top 3 CT teams is getting intense! |

Considering we didn't race a ton this block and had some duds, very happy with where we are. But we really have to pick it up now to secure promotion. The final stretch is gonna be absolutely vital.

We used to be called a team of stars but we don't have any Top10 individual in the World Tour or Prestige Ranking. Instead it's a bunch of (self-grown) awesome guys performing well across the board, loving it!
Also Marc Herder is the u23 star of the show
