Well, someone had to do it.
Rooney probably will retire: Henderson to be the captain for World Cup qualifiers.
On the bright side, this means that George Friend, Ben Gibson and Adam Clayton will probably be in that side, under Pellegrini as well- providing the FA don't bottle it and go for Southgate.

Friend and Clayton deserve a shot provided they continue to perform in the Premier League - Cresswell and Drinkwater are the examples they should be aiming at. Gibson is still shaky without Ayala alongside him, but give me him over John Stones any day  |

What a mess. At least Hodgson will be out in the morning, and we can finally start picking players on form instead of reputation and playing with a proper system.
