What the hell this tour is weird

@ all: The Tour is weird for sure. With these great sprinteres present, still no mass sprints..... And what I hate about it, is that the same riders are in the attack amost every stage, or more stages in a row. They all want to be Morkov as in the Tour of '12.....

Stage 5
Althugh the stage is classified as flat, today we have the first hilly stage. Okay, 2 4th category-climbs ain't that difficult, but the final part of the stage is pretty difficult, and the last 1800 metres are ascending.
107km to go
Is this a déja-vu, or not? Sebastan Langeveld is once again in the BOTD. The maiilot verde is sprinting for the points together with the Red Bull-duo Matthias Brändle and Marcus Burghardt, Murilo Fischer (Sony Ericsson), Mikaël Delage (Europcar), Dirk Bellemakers (Rabobank, 2nd day in a row) and AG2R's Laurent Mangel. The peloton follows at 9 minutes.
45km to go
Bellemakers wins the sprint for the single point given at the summit of the Cote de Maison Neuve. The peloton is starting to decrease the margin, it's 4'51 now.
20km to go
With 20km to go, it's finally looking like the peloton will catch the BOTD in time. But then Fabian Cancellara launches his attack and is bridging the gap to the BOTD rapidly: '51 (the peloton follows at 1'11).
10km to go
Cancellara bridges the gap to the BOTD, and leaves them behind while ascending the Cote de Nieul. He crests the summit with a margin of '24 to Bellemakers, '31 to the others and 1'16 to the peloton.
2km to go
Despite the fact that the teams of Petronas - Monster Energy, Saxo Bank (for GC leader Boom) and Garmin are chasing as good as they can, the Swiss champ maintains his margin to the peloton. With the final hill to the finish remaining, he leads the former BOTD by '20 and the peloton by 1'11.
Finish
What an extraordinary effort by Spartacus: a 20km solo finished succesfully. He gets awarded with the 2nd stage win and the maillot jaune back on his shoulders.
Tosh Van der Sande and Thomas Voeckler, both stage winners, also jumped out of the peloton, and despite that peloton riding at full speed, the 2 manage to finish just in front of it. Langeveld finishes in 4th, Bellemakers in 5th and JJ Rojas edges out Marcel Kittel for the sprint for 6th place.

Word from the DS
Okay, from the first 4 flat stages, this was the one that most likely wouldn't end in a mass sprint. Tomorrow is the first real hilly stage, so it'll probably end in a mass sprint, according this Tours logic.

who is your best placed rider in GC? Because Wiggens is already 5th

Kittel in 28th at 1'47. Gesink is in 40th at 1'58, so '42 behind Wiggins.

Stage 6
It's time for the first hilly stage, and today a mass sprint isn't expected. The route brings the riders to Aurillac in the Auvergne and features 5 categorized climbs, with the La Roche Noire (5.4km at 7.6%, alt. 1566m) 33 km before the finish as the most difficult one. The total amount of height metres is 3093.
80km to go
As usual in this Tour de France, we see some familiar faces in the BOTD. Paul Voss (Red Bull) is the most prominent member of it, as he's the current number 8 in the GC. Together with Juan Antonio Flecha (Euskaltel), Johan Le Bon (Sayr), Florian Vachon (Europcar), Alessandro Ballan (BMC) and Dutch champion Jetse Bol (Vacansoleil) he gets a maximum margin of 10'30.
33km to go
Le Bon and Voss drop the other 4 in the ascend of the Roche Noire. Le Bon has collected enough KOTM-points to regain that jersey. The peloton follows at 3'17.
Finish
Completely according to the first stages of this Tour, the peloton doesn't want or isn't able to close the gap to the leaders. So Voss and Le Bon can sprint for the win, with the French rider being the fastest. But also Voss can celebrate: because the peloton (Rojas wins the sprint for 3rd place) finishes at 1'25, he takes over the GC-lead! Even tough the pace has been pretty low in the peloton, 2 veterans loose 2'22 to the peloton: Basso and Evans, just as Lars Boom, Thor Hushovd and Sebastian Langeveld.

Well, for those that love breakaway wins, it's a great Tour. But for those that love mass sprints, it's boring.....

Stage 7
The last stage before the 3 Pyrenées stages! The route is undulating, but the last 40 kilometres are pretty flat. Can this finally be a mass sprint?
87km to go
May I present you: the BOTD: Rousselle (BMC), Geslin & Van Vooren (Omega Pharma), Montaguti (Acqua et Sapone), Guesdon (AG2R) and Desriac & Delage (Europcar). Shortly before the summit of the Puech de Bourguet, they have a margin of 2'38.
38km to go
The the inevitable happens: when Thomas Voeckler attacks out of the peloton shortly before the summit of the Puech de Bourguer, trying to bridge the gap to the 7 leaders, the gap between the BOTD and the peloton starts to increase. And Voeckler is able to bridge the gap all by himself, even creating a gap of 4 minutes to the peloton, with our guys, Red Bull and Garmin in the chase......
An non-categorized hill breaks the BOTD in a few pieces, and only the 2 Europcar-riders, the 2 Omega Pharma-riders, and of course wonder boy Voeckler form the first group. The peloton follows at 3'59.
2km to go
When the peloton is riding 2 kilometres before the finish, the screen says it all: only we form a train, trying to let the stage end in a mass sprint. All the ther sprinters try to profit from it, while some puncheurs are attacking. JoaquÃm RodrÃguez has already attacked, and now also Fabian Cancellara and Lars Boom try to do so....... Screw them all!
Finish
So after 6 possible mass sprints, the final score is: breakaway wins 6 vs. mass sprints 0.....................
Anthony Geslin rounds off perfect team work by Omega Pharma - Quick Step and wins the 7th stage in Lavaur. Voeckler takes the 2nd place, Delage the 3rd and a celebrating Van Vooren the 4th. The peloton finishes at 1'32, with Haussler winning the sprint for 5th and Kittel in 6th.

Today's Winner
Word from the DS
About stage 7: no comment.
About stage 8: tomorrow the riders have to ascend the Port de Balès before the mountain top finish at Superbagnères. So we can expect a mass sprint with a duel betwen Rojas, Farrar and Kittel for the stage win....

First 6 stages of the Tour with breakaway victories, you don't see that often
Send someone to the break, then I'm sure you'll get some more help on the chase
