Not a good sign if only 6 of my riders are in the overperformer list.

All other 18 in the underperformer and quite a few of those were my early picks that are in the higher area of the underperformer list.

Best overperformer of the league and still one of the crappiest teams. Pfft

Thank you for the update, roturn!

Obviously a good week for me, and it gives us a handy lead. It will be interesting to see how close it will be after the Giro, surely dominox is hoping Zakarin goes past Nibali and maybe even Valverde in the GC. A podium there will see him gain a lot.

Big race for Ollfardh. 0 riders for me... ;(

Could be an interesting race for us, don't know what the profiles are like but I imagine Gavazzi, Devolder and Kreder could all be up there for a stage win. Smile

Nice work by Jungels in the Giro and Vantomme in the French classics. Tour of Belgium obviously a major disappointment with Broeckx out for the rest of the season if not worse.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Atapuma saved our Giro, pretty much... Was lucky he was in shape to contest a few stages here and there. Would have been the icing on the cake to have him winning something too.

My Giro actually was really good seeing I have no real GC riders in my whole team.

Kittel winning 2 stages was the minimum I was hoping for. Hence first week was nice.
2nd week was anonymous but then the big effort by Scarponi, who showed up beastly in 3rd week making himself a decent GC as also the stage win by Taaramae made it another good week and a fantastic Giro result.

Tomorrow should come the ranking update. Should be a bit bigger shuffle this time.

ember
Pozzovivo getting ill for the final mountain stages wasn't ideal, as the drop from a safe top 10 to 20th obviously makes a difference.

Luckily Devenyns and Zico had a great Belgium Tour, which is by far the highlight for my team in the week that went. Also nice to see Korsæth score his first few points in Tour de Gironde after struggling with sickness for the first four months of the season.

Ranking Update #19 - 29/05/2016

The Giro is finished, the biggest points of the season so far were rewarded! But who had the top GC guys that might beat team stage wins?

ember did not only defend the lead, he also improved a lot as Roman was having another week off in comparison. He now has to fear to lose the podium next as TMM and trekbmc really come close.

The big Giro winners were all further below. Selwink climbs a lot but would have even more without that Kruijswijk bad luck. dominox wanted to attack the podium but lost Zakarin very late. Another bad luck.

Giro winner Jaxika was far down anyway but climbed a bit as week`s best scorer.

The order behing mainly stayed the same with couple more passing the 50% line this week.

The Giro guys though belong to the best improvers as Chaves, Kruijswijk, Majka, Jungels or Atapuma top the weekly score with Belgium winner Devenyns following next ahead of Nieve.

Ulissi`s comparison of 2015/2016 post Giro is impressive. It`s already his 2nd best season ever and he might even beat his 2013 performance.

Other than that also Brambilla is high up there after a decent Giro while Colbrelli is still here despite lacking the big Giro results. Chaves as one of the top scorers also is impressive and it will be interesting to see his race schedule if he decides to go for the Vuelta GC again.

With Jungels another Giro GC guy is being in the top20. It mainly shows that last year he or Chaves did aim other GT`s/races, while Majka, Zakarin, Kruijswijk also belong to the overperformer list despite riding the Giro in both years, though a lot further down the OP ranking.

Landa surely was not supposed on this list here. After his impressive 2015 Giro, he was there again to win but then he had to abandon making him a top3 guy on the underperformer list post Giro.

A similar case for Hesjedal. 5th last year, he was looking good for a top10 this year before he abandoned before the 3rd week, which usually is his strongest.

König up there is explained easily. In 2015 Sky`s GC guy in the Giro. 2016 going for Tour support or Vuelta GC? Surely not ideal for his personal CQ but a pure team decision here.

Other riders with a better 2015 Giro were Pozzovivo or Peraud. Ag2r struggled this time though.

Sagan still leading the CQ ranking after the Giro, which is impressive but shows what a big step he has done result wise in 2016. Valverde as 3rd in the Giro still ahead of winner Nibali, though the Giro impact for those two is clearly visible. Contador on the same spot as last year despite not riding and hence winning the Giro this year makes it even more impressive. Though most of the riders below didn`t.

Dumoulin, Uran as worst Giro 2016 GC riders while the best news is that Degenkolb is back scoring. It`s only 8 points so far but he was going strong in California towards the end of the race including 2 top10`s with a 5th being the best.

Races this week: Tour of Japan, Tour of Ukraine, Tour de Luxembourg, Boucles de la Mayenne, Tour of Ankara, Volta a Lleida

Still fourth and only just off the podium, much better than I expected post Giro. Still, we're going to need some luck and I don't know who to look at for it, perhaps Cummings will have a super tour? Or maybe Simon Yates won't be banned and put in some good racing.

Also, forgot Siutsou was on our team with his top tean, he and Cardoso really saves our Giro. Grin

Thanks once again for the update Roturn Smile
