Can we calm down? God, this environment... Shut up and watch the race. God.
Usual Tour stuff.
I am just taking the break before Sagan will be in action again.
Last year we had Froome fan-boys... This year? Contador fan boys. |

Nibali is a fantastic rider and will be one of the great grand tour riders, he has proved himself at the Vuelta and the Giro, and we all know you need to be a strong rider to win the Giro these days, he almost averages a grand tour win a year. Even if he didn't win the Tour this year, I always believe that one day he will but I think unless he crashes, which you never know now then he should win this edition and enter the list of rider to win all three grand tours, and deservedly so too
Oh, you mean the Vuelta where he let a 40year old man beat him.
Oh yes he just rolled over and let Horner have the victory for free didn't he?
Did you read where it said a 40 year old man? and if Nibali was that sick he should have left the race.
So he should have left the vuelta just because he couldnt follow a 40 year old? Ur beyond Mad....

Not sure, There are some dark blue jerseys near the back of the peloton, but that could be FDJ...

Martin in polka dot - the universe is about to colapse
He appeared to be losing contact in the climb where Contador fell.
He looked like he had crashed though when he rejoined... He should still be in there.. |

Surely Gallopin will be dropped during these last two climbs? However, he is looking surprisingly good! |

So that makes Nibali (most likely) undeserved winner? You're surprising me more and more every day. It's just ridiculous.
Yes it does because he won by default, there are no one left.
Once you get older you will learn that winning is not really winning if you win because the others don't compete.
I'm sorry but whenever I ask someone who won the 1980 tour, they say Joop Zoetemelk, not some guy who won because Hinault got injured.
Im sorry but whenever i ask who won the 1980 Tour i get "what? who cares" and its not because they just don't follow cycling.
And how much google did you have do for that post.
I can't see how that has anything to do with the discussion at hand. Zoetemelk won that tour because Hinault got injured (6 or 7 times he got second in the tour before) but you don't hear anybody about it. so your "winning is not really winning if you win because the others can't compete" statement doesn't hold up.
and for your information: I didn't google anything, I'm reminded of Zoetemelks TdF win everyday thanks to a statue of him in the village I live in, it was also the village he grew up in. |

Yeah, yeah we get it, you don't like Contador, but being happy that a guy who trains all year for this race (just like Froome) crashes and has to abandon the race is just low.
