Before Michael Boogerd won the Tour's queen stage in 2002, what turned out to be one of the best moments of his career, he received half a litre of blood from his brother. Infuse was done by Geert Leinders.

During Michael's retirement race, his brother wore a jersey depicting Boogerd during abovementioned victory...

Geert Leinders also used a machine that the UCI uses to control blood values etc. to make sure Raboriders didn't test positive. It's used for Rasmussen's tour in 2007. |

So Sky might have acquired a machine like that, perchance?

I'm 95% sure that Rabobank wasn't/isn't the only team that used/uses such a machine.
Leinders worked at Sky, draw your own conclusions. |

... aaaand Boogerd is looking for a lawyer to do something against the bloodbrother-story. "It's been enough, those lies have to stop."

The Clean Cycling Movement has temporily suspended Team Europcar. They should be allowed to start the Tour. But I don't think they will get to race the French nats. Unless it's a very short suspension as some of their riders rode the TT today.
Might be a problem to attract a new sponsor though

Every year this happens. One week before the Tour (not the actual suspension, but the doping commotion) |

They had it coming. It was about time they'd get nailed in some way for cortisone related issues. |

Remember when Spidertech stopped "but will return a year later at WorldTour level!", nearly everyone pointed out it was the usual speech from every race and team organizer with no budget to continue and the team would never be back?
Yeah, Bauer just admitted that "we will be back" predictably was all enthusiasm and they don't have a leg to stand on.
As I said back then: Bye Spidertech

I dont think anyone really believed they would somehow come back and go straight to WT level
I never saw anything wrong being a pretty good team in the PCT level, doing well in North America. The team alone has helped a lot of young canadians grow into good cyclists, in what is for sure the strongest generation of Canadians yet.
But its all a business and teams only want to be at the top unfortunately.

Armstrong trying to become friends with the new boss
I don't really like the fact Cookson did that. He had answered the same question already and there were a lot of questions he didn't answer...

Just goes to show that Lance still carries weight in the cycling world. I really don't think someone running for UCI president could ignore a direct tweet from him.
Also, that Euskaltel bus.
