Well, those 'fans' killed an interesting trio.
Shame.

Some kind of spectator conspiracy against Quickstep.

Right idea from Vanmarcke here, just taking front wheel because otherwise there is no way he will be able to respond.
I think Stybar has this.

Not the only one.
I guess ASO doesn't have the money to do it but they should look into roping off all these important cobbled sections.

Oh man, Vandenbergh of all people. What a selfless ride, what a cobbled season so far, and ending like this... Stybar getting a taste of it too. |

This has pissed me off very much.
Anyway, slight edge to Vanmarcke in a sprint, but either of them can win it

I know the spectators should be careful, but shouldn't the riders be clever enough not to ride that close to the crowd, especially after what happened to Vandenbergh?

Vanmarcke already beat Boonen, time for another giantslaying?
Should save Blanco's cobbled season.

When I was at the Paris-Nice last month, there was a heck of a lot of ticker tape used along the routes. Maybe thats a solution.

The riders assume that all the spectators will get out of their way. They ride where it makes the most sense to and then rely that the spectators are totally rational human beings. Turns out they aren't.
Such a shame here, as this looked like a truly classic edition of this race.
