Is that velodrome larger than a regular Olympic one? |

Ladagnous could have been in with a chance of 2nd I reckon if he didn't puncture
Two Frenchies on the podium would have been awesome.
Too bad that attack pretty much killed Boom though.

For me man of the day after Boonen was Mathieu Ladagnous.
Stupid puncture at the end spoiled he's dream race. |

I believe that the Roubaix velodrome is a tad bit longer than 400m

They were never going to catch Boonen. He was by far the strongest rider here, if you look outside from Boonen. Sky will have most riders in Top 20, not OPQS. Of course Boonen was in other world and untouchable. Nobody was helping them as well though. Even some OPQS fans admitted it in the cyclingnews forums too.
According to the ranking posted above by SN, OPQS has a 1st and 5th against Sky's 4th and 8th's.. and no other rider in the Top 27

PPDB is a lot better than PCMdaily. It is a lot more fun as there are so many more riders with high ratings so surprises often happen. |

Sky screwed up quite simply. They should have dominated the chase, the way they did is, quite simply sucked. Using one guy until he died, and then kept him going after he died, as opposed to taking it in even turns.
It was dumb.

EBH must've pushed on in the red zone for way too long. Didn't expect him to lose that much in the end.

Must be something like 400 or 500 m long. An Olympic one is usually 150 m long, it can be 333,33 m long too. There are many velodromes whose lengths are intermediates though.

EBH has totally failed. Most disappointing result in a while. Let him focus on sprints/time trials and forget classics.

250m is the standard length nowadays for Velodromes used in the top Track cycling events

Wait, what? You are not serious now are you? He is still very young and perhaps the only thing he lacks is the stamina to be among the very best. Give him a couple of years and he will be there,
