That is Kalaba's third twelfth place of the season, let's not make it more of a habit because it isn't points.

Brilliant! After our outings in Qatar, I really thought our leadout with Konychev as last man was broken. Turns out it is not! Super happy with the result, the leader’s jersey for now, and that Groenewegen continues his brilliant start to the season. |

Bad positioning from Aniolkowski this time. Sprints are still quite unpredictable (as they should be to some degree I think), but I feel trains are working better than in the previous version.

Rodenberg with another great sprint. Can't complain with the accuracy that he wouldn't come around Groenewegen here, so hanging on for second place is a phenomenal result. In a stage race like this it's always nice to get a result to justify the participation as a use of race days, and Rodenberg gets his here. A shame that he dropped yesterday so he's not holding a GC spot for the time being, but that's a very minor issue. Congrats to ember, and thanks for the slipstream!

Looking like its going to be a long hard season for Kuli but we already knew that I guess. Race wise we're still doing well.
Congrats to ember and thanks for the report!

Aniolkowski seemed to be stuck behind Meeus there for quite some time. At least we got a stage win though a chance at snatching the green jersey would have been nice as well. It's Remco time now.

It wasn’t much, but atleast a few points today…
Kinoshita dropped once more for no apparent reason. Let’s hope it’s because he wants to win a stage or a KOM Jersey. Because all chances of GC is Well and truly lost.

Solid sprint by Rodenberg to snag a few more points. Solid race for him in the end. Congrats to lief!

Looked like we got boxed in there and never really contested. A pity, especially when the race had been so kind to us on the first three stages. A positive surprise to see Groenewegen still keep yellow for another day, which is a bonus. Congratulations lief on the win! Demare could be the favourite for the points jersey now, eventhough it very much depends on how the remaining hilly stages play out.
Thank you for the report and the pace they come with, kb! |

Great to see Yamamoto defending the KoM-jersey as good as he can. Next stage will be hard though, but maybe he's able to get into the break and snatch some minor points.
Congratulations ember and lief on the stage wins, and thank you for the reports, kandesbunzler

Two podiums by Hsu is decent and it was nice to see us build a train. I just hope Gidich didn’t spend too much energy here seeing he went all out for his teammate |

Ok the boring part is over. Now let's hope for some action in the remaining four stages.

Three riders in the top 10 and none of them are Ackermann

A nice stage win and we are certainly still in it regarding the points classification - good to see Demare still going strong as well! 2 hill/hilly sprint stages left for us to have a crack at and the TT as well, still very possible to get a good result and really kick off our season properly here!

I'm baffled by Pidcock's tactics here so far. Has the new game relegated him to being considered an outsider by the AI (also explaining our breakaway efforts) and so he's doing those long range attacks? Mark me now as extremely worried for the rest of our season.

It`s more like other similar riders are just not doing anything.
Last year Vansevenant 100 % had joined or initiated those attacks making the selection a lot bigger.
I can only hope that this will happen again in the future.
I doubt that Guerreiro was seen leader here and he only profited with the stage result by being in a good position pacing for Vansevenant.
Anyway, not ideal to lose out on 2 chances already. |

This could have been a great stage for Plapp if some time gaps were given. Now we have to hope for the next stage to be good for him and provide some selection
