Some great signings there, congrats! The hills and mountains are pretty well covered, and you've got someone for minor TT and cobbles results as well - looking forward to see what other value you can add Smile

Busy, busy, busy...

Today has been a very busy day for us. Another 4 riders join our ranks on free transfers. Two talents and two veterans.

Alessandro Pinarello 1.0 22yo Talent €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
67686957696665586165646557

Alessandro is an interesting, Italian prospect who should end up a decent climber.

Freddy Alejandro Avila 1.0 22yo Talent €55.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
70606269697065636162636768

Freddy will be able to contribute already as a part of TTT's and will develop into a valuable asset against the clock.

Simone Consonni 4.100 31yo Sprinter €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
72586964717676667575656265

Simone Consonni is also going to be part of the train that only misses its leader.

Omar Fraile 4.100 35yo Domestique €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
65726875687063545660756175

Omar is going to be helpful in the mountains as well on TT's and TTT's.

I specially like the signing of Avila. Not for this season ofc, but a colombian TT talent, what is not to like?

You are building a nice Italian-Colombian team!

cunego59
Avila at that price tag is a great signing! And Pinarello will be a nice depth piece in the future. Not sure what Consonni can do, probably depends on how tough the sprinting competition will be in CT this year. But he scored some points last year, maybe he'll come through again!

Final pieces?

We add another three riders to our team.

Lukas Talacka 4.100 31yo Time Trialist €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
72576474717368636167736374

Lukas is going to help us out on TTT's and be an asset to help on the flat.

Giulio Ciccone 4.100 31yo Climber €150.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
67777371707073505169595979

Giulio was a rider we really wanted which his wages also shows. We hope that he can become our leader for tours and mountainous races.

Nick van der Lijke 4.100 34yo Sprinter €60.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
70617363686673617974636065

Was he the sprinter we wanted? No. Is he going to be our leader? Yes! The veteran Dutchman will hopefully be able to use his experience to secure us points in many sprints across the season.

Hopefully Ciccone does a lot better for you than he did for me Pfft

I have faith in him Grin

Ciccone has always been very intruiging to me with that super high PRL stat, and I'm sure that if planned carefully he could be a good rider - in particular at CT level. His FIG and DH isn't all that great though, so you basically want him to just follow a group and then beat them by a few seconds in the prologue Grin

Closing the window, only letting in a draught (draft)...

Our final two paid riders sign on. Two Italian veterans who should prove very useful.

Andrea Zordan 4.100 33yo Puncheur €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
66727654707068526472716154

Despite his age, Andrea is still somewhat punchy and capable on the hills. He will assist our leaders in punchy terrain and perhaps get freedom from time to time.

Luca Wackermann 4.100 33yo Domestique €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
73677352727271557370696350

Luca is a very useful all-round domestique who can help on most terrain and is pretty fast. A handy utility for the upcoming season

Good regional focused riders to finish think the teams come together nicely and you will have a good strong first season !

Imladrik
Happy to see Wackermann having one last season at home. He's probably the rider I've loved the most in the team Smile

Even if I end up with two foreigners in the draft, I still have completed my goal of 50% Italian riders. Had to pass on better riders, but they didn't fit my focus. I am happy with the team.

I hope he will have a nice farewell season, then

The team is done!

With the draft concluded, we now have our final pieces of the riders that will take part in the teams maiden season.

Martijn Tusveld 4.100 32yo Domestique €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
71727172687374616766686971

Our second Dutchman is a rider who can help in every aspect.

Pedro Pablo Pereira 4.100 32yo Climber €50.000
Fl Mo Hi TT St Rs Rc Co Sp Ac Fi Dh Pr
64776761717466595064667361

Pee-Pee is an Argentinian veteran, who can climb and will act as an important helper for uor leaders and perhaps surprise with his own results.

You've built a really great team for a first season! A lot of older riders, sure, but as you mentioned, that just makes next transfer season just as exciting!

Should be a solid all-round showing in your first season. Like a lot of the pick-ups, not flashy just a good based to build on.

Goals

Finish in the top 10 of the CT team standings
We have, hopefully, signed a lot of point scorers, so that although we lack a real top rider, we will still haul in many points from many riders across many different races. The dropouts in the division have of course helped us in achieving this goal.

Win at least 8 stages in stage races
This is the reason our calendar is filled with stage races. We aim to win at least 8 stages across the season. A difficult goal for sure, but we have confidence in our squads ability to win in many different ways.

Win the KOM jersey in Tour de Pologne

Our C1 goal for the season. We tried to pick one where we didn't have to compete for wins or top results, but rather one we can go after with aggresive riding, which we will hopefully be able to do in Poland.
To help us do it, we have picked the following riders:

Avila, Freddy Alejandro
Gabburo, Davide
Mosca, Jacopo
Talacka, Lukas
Velasco, Simone
Wackermann, Luca
Zana, Filippo
Zordan, Andrea

Win the Vuelta al Tachira

Another stage race, but this time we actually aim to win the entire race and not just stages. A difficult task, but a challenge that we are up for. One the following riders will hopefully stand atop the podium after the final stage in Venezuela:

Cattaneo, Mattia
Ciccone, Giulio
Fraile, Omar
Manfredi, Andrea
Miholjevic, Fran
Pereyra, Pedro Pablo
Quintana, Nairo
Tusveld, Martijn

Win Giro del Trentino

A race on our home turf, A race that is prestigious, A race that is important and could play a vital part in our teams history for years to come. We want to be visible, aggressive and victorious.

Avila, Freddy Alejandro
Cattaneo, Mattia
Ciccone, Giulio
Fraile, Omar
Price-Pejtersen, Johan
Restrepo, Jhonatan
Talacka, Lukas
Tusveld, Martijn

The Poland goal was a good idea I think and not a nice group of riders to pursue it. The other two race goals will be tough.

Zana was a restat a few years ago - wasn't sure he would get picked up but good to see him get maxed as I love a sprinty puncheur.

Oh, I totally expect us to hit 0/5 goals. Everthing more than that will be a pleasant bonus.

If only you had brought Manfredi to Tour de Pologne, you would have had one goal completed Wink Jokes aside, it's going to be tough to complete your goals, but it's always difficult for a new team.
