We're not really doing much, aside from Mareczko.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Congrats to all the stage winners so far! On the other side a totally anonymous race from our team which is not a good sign without any GC rider. At least everyone's lost enough time today to be allowed in the breaks without any concerns, the team just has to take this opportunity now.

Bad positioning from Van der Kooij in the sprint.
Good thing Remco didn't lose time and sits in a good place in the GC, but there are much tougher stages ahead.

Phinney never really was in trouble but at the same time never looked that strong neither. Not this terrain but before decline he clearly has going for any bonus seconds.
His two stages are yet to come, so GC wise everything as wanted.
A bit annoyed by that first trio having a gap including Cras, who has lost his climbing advantage this way and will be out of the 2nd tier GC list now.
Nice sprint from Pidcock. He still being dominant on those kind of finishes. Congrats Jandal.
Regarding stage 2, good to see Bauhaus sprinting. 12th is not much but fair enough, at least he did hang onto the trains and tried. Nothing more to expect. |

Congratulations on the win, jandal. Pidcock clearly doing Pidcock things. A beast in the making for many races and stages, I suspect.
Nice to see Valter on the attack and being aggressive! He arguably seemed to be the strongest rider on the day, but didn't quite have the sprint after leading everyone out as well. 3rd is fine in that regard, eventhough I must admit I hoped for a stage win. He'll get more chances here, but stage 5 looks difficult for him to win, while stage 6 could be more to his liking with the proper uphill finish.
Thank you for the report and the consistency, seancoll! |

Great job by Mauro, exactly the kind of active racing I want to see from him
Getting beaten by Pidcock if he can't shake him off uphill is always a risk, that guy is just a monster. Congrats to jandal and Xero. Wonder where Pidcock will end up in the GC...
2nd place is a big result for Mauro nonetheless, and Bol also did great to finish 6th on this stage. That's 2nd through 6th in the first 3 days, 5 stage Top 10s already secured, couldn't have asked for more!
And most importantly, Darbellay also was attentive, a 12th place on this stage is great for a rider without much punch nor acceleration. Still some stages to survive, though - but one reason for bringing Mauro was that we'd be more likely to have multiple riders at the front of the race, which is playing out so far.
Thanks for the report!

I guess that Coutinho was mixing it and not Barguil But great to see him doing it and especially nice to Barguil not losing time. This stage rounds out a fantastic points scoring day for us, now let's hope that Coutinho gets a proper go at a sprint again tomorrow!
Congrats to Jandal on the win I always love to see Pidcock doing well, thanks for the great reports keep em rolling!

Very happy with today's stage. Rodrigues sailed smoothly to the finish while Montenegro had a superb day to get the KoM jersey for tomorrow. Can't remember when we last had a stint at one. More of this please.
Great finish for Pidcock, congrats on the win jandal!

Nice to see Rumac living up to his favourite billing and Kraftwerk doing well in the Teams competition, hope we can keep it up.
Congrats to Jandal and thanks for the report seancoll.

Strange mix of riders at the end there. Shame to have Forssell lose white despite inexplicably making the final group, but I can't be mad when he probably shouldn't be there anyway. On the other hand, Skjelmose making the split when Plapp doesn't could be big for us later on for white, potentially.
Most importantly, nice to see Galta attentive and near the front, making all the split and not too far back in the final.

Yates with a nice finish, best of the true GC guys I think which bodes well for tougher finishes. His first of what I hope will be many points for us. None of the rest in the front group but this wasn't the stage for them.

Too much time in the wind for Forssell there, but he had a nice race, and we'll take the few points he's given us.

Did not understand why Lewmreize suddenly lost all that time on Stage 3, when similar riders did much better. Hopefully this means some breakaway appearances otherwise what's the point.

What a way to start the day! This is exactly what we signed Hodeg for, just sneaking the occasional result in weaker sprint fields. It's also our first win for a sprinter since Alaphilippe in Jelajah two years ago and the first win in a real bunch sprint ever. And it's good to see our secondary (and even further down the list) riders keep winning in the PTHC races to really make those results count.

Congratulations kb!
Sad to see Marin not in the top-10 again. Hopefully it's just bad luck/this specific startlist that made him not perform, and we see better performances later in the season. All pressure on Eastman to deliver us points, but the next two stages will be damage control I assume.
Thanks again for the nice report, sean!

Much much better from van der Kooij. Can't expect him to win sprints so second places are fantastic.

Obviously very happy with Pidcock executing on Stage 3, a couple more chances in the next two days - should be a huge favourite tomorrow if we can get good positioning, especially if the DH stat comes into play! Then the hilltop finish on Stage 6 where who knows. Could have done a little better on the flat stages (particularly S1) to try and target that points jersey, but hopefully he's still the favourite there unless Phinney is on the podium on Stage 6 and then is favourite for the next two days.
Guess Pidcock is also the GC leader for us now. Really unacceptable for Fouche to miss that split given Tesfaye made it. Super disappointed with him and so really needing some Pidcock perfection for this to meet our points goals in the race. As someone already said it will be interesting to see where Pidcock finishes if he is protected by Fouche - surely not going to keep all of Johanessen, Evenepoel, Skjelmose and Plapp away from the U25 lead though

Solid effort by Van Gestel to take the KoM jersey back! Good also to get Cort safely through the first hilly stage. Let's see how he will hold up later on.

Good to have Valter through another flat stage. Now we need to up the game and create some gaps among the first finishers. We really need him to create and get gaps to have any shot at some kind of a GC here. |
