Remco being Remco. Love that!
5th for Karatsivis is a good result here.
Congrats on the win!

Another great result by Galvan Ramirez, what a U23 season for him. LPH riders with two bronze medals and another fourth place definitely made the sponsors proud for one last time. Thanks for another great report!

Decent enough race from Firdaus - a decent attack towards the end and all. Unfortunately not strong enough to contest the win. Thanks for the reports!

U23 didn't end up being much of a mountain race, but I guess when we've already won l'Avenir we'll have to take it.

First of all, big thank you to UU for carrying the reports throughout the championships and to Imladrik for capping it off with a very nice Elite RR!
Herklotz is just inevitable, it seems. Even when take away a short or long final climb, it doesn't matter. Congrats cio! Cool podium with Hirt and Kudus, too.

Damn, I really though Phinney had a a chance to win that and the fact he won the sprint from the group proves he did, they just weren't quite strong enough to pull it all back together. Seems like Eastman might be facing some tough questions from his teammates . Herklotz is a beast and great ride by Hirt.
If Phinney had won he would have completed the set of all the World titles, now it seems likely his chance has gone.
I think the parcours worked out beautifully with all 3 races playing out differently. Thanks again to Tamijo.
Finally, thanks to Imladrik for wrapping the season up.

Thanks for the reports! It was great to see Gidich's attack in the road race, even if it didn't lead to much. Mano just missing the top 10 in the TT was a bit disappointing.
Congrats cio and the other winners! |

Just as I get back from vacation and can finally catch up fully and get into the thick of all things offseason!
What is there to try and put into words?
It's just a level of racecraft and decision-making that gets as close to perfect as one could ever dare to dream of.
Every step of the way, he's able to choose the path that improves his chances the most, until all that is left to do is a well-timed sprint initiation.
There would be so much more to say, but I think it's best to leave it at something as straightforward as his style of racing.
First, a big thank you to the German team around Herklotz, which allowed him to ride this way by using a lot of energy on chasing and protection.
Zwiehoff and Arndt stand out in the report, but I'm certain everyone played their best possible part.
Obviously, these thanks extend to all the managers who participated in the nomination and selection process to build this lineup, thank you!
Furthermore and even more importantly, thank you to ALL managers who helped craft this race, from route creation and selection through to the full nomination process and of course UU and in this case Imladrik for the stellar reporting!
I am the first to admit I could do more for this game than I do at times, but for one rest assured that my heart is still very much in it and that I'm well aware how privileged I am, and crucially I am most grateful for the efforts of everyone who brought this season to completion and all of us who keep this most immersive and enjoyable management game on the internet running through any sort of contribution!
Congratulations to Moser for a great and very surprising 2-3, an immense result for both nations as well as for any single trade team, even more so looking at how Hirt and Kudus weren't necessarily the traditional podium picks.
Many riders looked strong and would've deserved more out of this race, with Yates not quite making a final selection he would've been the clear favorite from or Phinney who couldn't turn his group sprint win into a medal as the first two to come to mind.
Thank you cunego! As I tried to hint at, it really does sometimes feel like it's quite irrespective of the actual profile of the day.
Thank you UU! Indeed Phinney absolutely would deserve to complete his set after such a historic career that nevertheless will stand the test of time no matter what happens from now on.
Thank you Bikex! Some favorites surely attacked too early or didn't attack at all, which seems to have been some of the regular randomness exacerbated by the wide open profile of the finale.

Kinoshita fifth? Wowzers, that was unexpected.
Thanks for the report Imladrik (and UU for the previous ones) and congrats to the German squad!

Herklotz! Well done, big congratulations, cio!
For Japan, that kind of felt like an opportunity missed with both Kinoshita and Amezawa in that elite group. Had hoped for some kind of aggression from one of them with the other sitting back, but clearly they went all in for the sprint, this time for Kinoshita.
And a big thank you to UU and now Imladrik for reporting the WCs, and also to those of you that have helped setting it up. It's a great way to finish a season/anticipating the next one |

Hirt would have been amazing and no hiding I was cheering for him and then fellow Moser man Kudus behind in those closing kilometres, but Herklotz getting another WC hardly feels wrong and a huge congrats cio on the rainbow jersey. Thanks UU and Imladrik for the awesome reporting work - I enjoy Imladrik's personal flair with the capitalised surnames in his usual reports, but now in the WC it just felt right
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Huge thanks to UU and Imladrik for some great reports to bring us some amazing races. Very cool to see the different scenarios across the three races on this parcours. Congrats to all on the official completion of the 2023 season as well - sure all those with good results here are excited on the momentum into transfers!
