Insane that the peloton let Rodrigues go up the road on the mountain day. Great job by Binance there, who may have just taken the entire race in a sly coup.
Kamna had a good amount of support until the final climb there, but as always, we're pacing too much for our leader's ability. Kamna was smart though and just managed to hang on. A weird group at the finish there. Just happy to be a part of it.
Kamna in 6th is a solid spot at least, but we really need a good TT from him tomorrow. Last real go of the season for him, and he hasn't really shined in them this year. With several strong time trialists on his heels, and every point mattering, it's time to come up big.

Guess Penasa was so far back after the ITT that PCM didn't consider him a GC rider anymore. No other reason to drop down so far on a mountain stage otherwise. We won't get much from this race although Leemreize did do decently in the break. A bit disappointing really.
Congrats to Binance and thanks for the report

Weird stage
Breakaway is far from ideal if the stage winner ends up 2nd overall. Also TT is way too OP right now. Seems like Pogacar was working for Christodoulos which is bonkers, not idea why the AI decided that when that setup worked fine in Norway. Maybe Pogacar was simply too far down on GC with another TT left?
We can still come away with a good race if Christodoulos and Pogacar do a good final TT. Let's see.

Not the best stage for us but not the worst either. Hopefully Conci and Taaramae both put in strong Time Trials which could mean Conci on the edge of the Top 5 and Taaramae squeezing into the Top 10.
Thank you for the reports so far!! Good luck all with the final stage

Well, Lennard surely came through in the end here. Win goal success? Obviously not, but we got fairly close all things considered. He waited until the last big TT of the year to finally show his talent, and he came within a hair's length of a stage win against pretty intense competition. I was crossing my fingers for a classic same time position reversal on the results screen, but alas, no dice.
4th on GC is a very good result here against a difficult field. We can talk about a million "what if's" regarding Rodrigues's crazy break and getting on the podium, but ultimately, we beat a lot of riders of similar caliber or better. Our complete lack of depth scoring prevents this from being a real coup, but I think we did what we could here to stay in the promotion hunt.
Thank you for the amazing reports Imladrik! I really love your style of TT reporting. Easy to follow with plenty of suspense and no distractions.

Nothing of note on the last stage, just that Penasa moved up a few spots to score some minor points. Was hoping Henttala would too but wasn't to be. Wasn't a good race for us. Should've known the mountain stage wasn't likely to help after the time loss in the TT. Oh well, lesson learnt for next season and these kinds of races.
Congrats to Jura on the stage win and to Minions on the GC. Thanks for the reports Imladrik

Good scoring race even if I didn't really like the way the race played out. It wasn't a race for the climbers outside of lucky Rodrigues so I guess Pogacar in 19th is not so terrible given he had two pretty meh TTs.
Team depth works again though, because we had an option in Christodoulos and it ended up being a good race for him, 11th is very good on paper. 2nd in U25 behind the expected winner Conci is also good. Borisavljevic and Crncevic add minor points and the former did just enough to give us 3rd in the teams classification which is always a favourite achievement of mine
Congrats to Minions for rubber stamping promotion and to others who had good races
Thank you for the nice reports Imladrik

Sadly Predcatsch couldnt do better at the last stage as i hoped but well it is what it is. I am happy about the 4th place from Willwohl before and the rest went as expected.
Congratulations to the winners and the ones who got what they wanted! And thanks for the reporting!

Thanks for the reports Imladrik, but three seconds was a little too close for comfort
Not going to celebrate yet or get emotional until we finish Giro dell'Emilia but I guess this has sealed our promotion, and we have Cattaneo and Dennis to thank for it.

Pityful race from Uwi, especially in the two time trials. Might be the nail in the coffin for our already slim promotion hopes. But that's fair enough. Hadi with a 29th place is decent, and El Sabbahi's by far best result of his career with that second place honestly makes this race a success for us, maybe not points-wise but emotionally Thanks for the nice reports throughout, Imladrik. And for all your work this year, truly a terrific rookie season!

Definitely too less from Durbridge and also Haig with a rather disappointing GC result! Obviously still can't complain about this year's performances, but this should have went better.
Thanks for the reports and congratulations to those, who actually did well here!

Breakthrough result for Rekita, I love to see it
So that's our two Poles Stepniak and Rekita making this a pretty good race for us, while Mäder only had a decent stage one. I still have no clue how on earth he and even stronger climbers could get dropped on S3, and the final stage was likely his worst TT of the year. Looking at Christodoulos, I guess Bissegger & Brunel should get me two Top 15 results next year
Congrats to Marco on the GC win, guess that should indeed seal promotion for you (and for LLS, who had another great depth result with two in the Top 10).
Thanks for the reports, Imladrik.

How I see it, Mäder and the others weren't as much dropped as bad positionned when the first acceleration happened, making it difficult to finish with the first group. Sure, that's AI problem, but I'm not sure there's a good way to not having the whole peloton together.
As for the TT, thanks BBL, but the credit goes to... UU, I think, who tested this format the first?

Unbelievable - we have lost 2 consecutive GCs to Minions by less than a combined 3 seconds. What curse is this?
All in all, 2nd is a terrific result from Dunbar with this field. It’s great to see he could back up his performance from last season here again. He was also super consistent in the TT’s which is wonderful, I don’t think he’s had a bad one this season. This result goes a long way to us staying in the division.
Thank you for the reports, they were terrific. And congrats Marco, hopefully this catapults you up into PT
