That was interesting! Penasa working for Talansky and both finishing in the points, and both in the top 10 of the GC after the stage. Think we're better off than i was expecting at this point, so can't complain about possibly missing out a stage win chance with possibly the wrong rider going for it. The hill stage and the TTT will determine our fate. Hoping we can hold our own there.
Congrats to UBS and thanks for the report Ulrich

Promising from Galta! Hopefully he handles the hilly stage well, at least it looks easy enough to not be a stage for time gaps among the GC riders. Then there's only the TTT left to decide his final GC placing. I might regret coming here with only seven riders, but we shall see. Great position to be in, currently on the GC podium, now it's all about surviving and keeping just that until the TTT.
Thank you for the reports, UU! |

Apologies for the lack of a comment yesterday following AKA's great win! Great positioning, great timing, great speed. Just like he's done it all year. The 6th on stage 5 has put him in a good spot for the points jersey, and taking those intermediate sprint points earlier in the race has proven to be clutch as well. Now I'm just hoping he can finish this out and take green home.

Happy with that 4th place by Perera. Can't expect much more than the occasional Top 5 from him and good to see he's at least trying consistently. Ndayisenga in 12th overall is great as well, although he will likely drop a good bit in the TTT. We'll see what the remaining two stages bring, maybe we can play a role from the breakaway tomorrow.

Oh well except if there is a little tweak in the profile, like in the first stage, lead-outs are doomed to be absolute shit most of the time. Not saying always, but most of the time, and definitely with the final km´s being long wide/straight roads. Thanks for the two latest sprint reports, Ulrich, and congratulations to the winners!

I'm very satisfied with everything the team has done so far in this race.
I sent the second rows of the team to this race and had no hope of a good result, but they are proving me wrong.
We have always been very active and trying to fight for the stages, I really liked Bartl in the mountain stage and of course this stage win is the icing on the cake.
thanks for the reports so far

Haller improves on his 14th last stage, up to 13th, he could win if there were 12 more stages

I have absolutely no idea who gave AKA those climbing legs, but I am absolutely here for it! An unexpected 5th place on a hilly stage, and we clinch the points jersey, which was a major goal coming in.
Warbasse failed us a bit, but all things considered, this has been a successful race.

Solid hilly stage by Galta! Happy with that, he never looked like he would loose time here, which was good. Thank you for the report, UU!
The GC looks very, very tight ahead of the TTT. Curious to see how it plays out, fingers crossed Galta can keep a top 4 looking at the results, eventhough only 19 seconds might be too little back to Bernal. And who knows, with a great day for the team, maybe we can produce another TTT surprise? |

I'm glad we're at least attacking after losing all our GC hopes. Looked like an exciting stage for those involved.

What a massive effort by Sammy Mugisha! When I saw him in the breakaway, I thought why do we always send the riders who can do the least, and then he goes and proves me wrong Scoring the KoM jersey here is a massive success and lets me overlook Ndayisenga's time loss.
Very interesting stage in general and top notch report Ulrich, that was very enjoyable to read!

Given Uran's GC is already down the toilet, smart of us to focus on Kalaba for this stage and get a good result out of it as well.
TTT win to top off this race please

Ulrich correctly (in my opinion) reports Nerz losing over 3 mins while stealth rider Dulanjana goes up to 6th on GC!
Our OKish TTT team could deliver a top 10 GC finish. Shame Nerz could not manage some better depth points.
Thanks for the great reports Ulrich and congrats to ryant.

It looks much better with our top 5 chances than expected. Yet I´m not fully satisfied with Bernal still sitting behind Min in GC thus not wearing white jersey. I don´t think we can gain 17+ seconds in such short TTT. Moreover, I don´t believe we will win today even with such huge advantage on paper
Thanks for great & steady reporting!
