Big stage for Evonik. Also a superb win by Godoy.

Strange that we didn't try anything at all.

Well, that wasn’t too smart really… David de la Cruz should have done better too, now he’s back in 10th without any chance of progress.

Wow Higuita has done brilliantly the last two days, to be 11th at this point here in this field is a huge overachievement! A real shame about what's going to happen to that good placing in tomorrow's ITT though
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I was about to comment after Stages 6 and 7 about how disappointing Cort Nielsen had been, but decided to wait and see if he went in the break on Stage 8 to salvage something. But I didn't quite expect him to get a stage win, win the KoM jersey, and vault up to 6th on GC, all after a 100km solo ride...
Performance of the season for us so far, and a very welcome haul of points in the relegation battle. I expect Haig will pass him in the TT, but there's not a huge amount between him and Masnada so 6th may still be possible (not that I'd complain about 7th). Big question is how much damage the flat section does to Godoy and maybe even Carthy, as they could fall back into the clutches of the Masnada/Cort Nielsen/Haig trio with a bad day. |

I wasnt hoping that Taaramae would make this race exciting
Offday by him and the rest of the team disappeared too early. Which means we have a race and we will see him in the beautiful NC jersey in the tt. Fingers crossed that he can still come back for the victory. Ideally with a stage win as the top favourite for the day...

Interesting last stage means we find ourselves in 2nd overall!!! Taaramae should still win but Choi maybe can make it tight on a good day. The last TT I'm hoping favours the mountain stat a bit or else we could lose more time than I'm hoping for.

After being 5th it felt a bit sour to drop to 10th seeing Masnada keeping the level.
BUT - We most definately got what we came for and more so! We hoped for 10th from de la Cruz, and he delivered. Aidan with 2 stagewins, 30th GC, 5th U25 and 3rd pts makes this race great. Spanopoulos to take 15 points and thus cover the lost from the two riders not making it to the end.
Great race.

I'll happily take this. Seeing the startlist i hoped for more dominance from Taaramae (on the mountain days!) but he is 2 for 2 in mountain stage races this season which is a super impressive season for him and many would have doubted him to deliver at this level. Only Herbiers remaining so his season is pretty much done at this point but he has been a joy in the two big stage races on his schedule.
Getting the team classification is really cool. I struggle to remember whether thats actually a first for the team. Definitely a rarity considering how my team was built for the most time.
Thanks a lot for reporting this! Enjoyed it a lot!

Oh boy... I always knew Masnada is a great rider - but taking 6th in TdS definitely feels strange! He must have had the week of his life - and in general, our riders enjoyed the Tour, taking 9 Top10 stage results in as many stages! Too bad we couldn't score any points here, but it was definitely fun looking at all those reports, and seeing so many Jura riders doing well
Fun fact: Lienhard's 5th place in stage 3 was our first 5th place of the year - and his first notable result of the entire season. Good to do it in his home race - even better if he did it in a race we can actually score
Congrats to Evonik, that Taaramäe trade definitely was worth the gamble! Didn't expect him to still have the level to win Vuelta & TdS, but he is, and it's great to see

Not too bad race, but in the end I think Roglic could've done a little better than 8th. Thanks for the reports! |

Late to the party, but a good race but Vingegaard in the end! To top that with Kragh in the beginning of this race, we ended up quite good.
Congrats to knockout on the win!

Back after taking some time off to recharge!
Well, as much the Dauphiné was rich in positive surprises from a mediocre lineup, this race certainly dragged us down to the average.
Bad prologue by Ganna, uninspired sprinting by Aregger in his home race against weak opposition on stages two and three...
WHO AM I KIDDING, STAGE WIN OUTTA NOWHERE!
Obviously this wasn't a good route, with the very twisting nature of the final K making it an unfairly biased sprint, and I apologize to whoever felt more entitled to a victory there.
Vasyliv then nicely emulated Stüssi's endeavours in France by hanging on very well in the mountains for a 77mo rider, 13th overall is a fitting reward for attentive riding. Lovely to see our admittedly sub-top superdomestiques putting in such great rides when they get the chance to prove themselves!
So we take a stage win from a home rider and important GC points from another race without our big two, which is all I could hope for with our team structure.
Happy days for our wildcard lineups!
Congrats to knockout for the race victory, and a special shoutout to the PCT performances here! Particularly to Masnada making this a very memorable home race for Jura-Fiat and hopefully reinvigorating Fabianski's love for the game.
Thank you LLS!
