[CT] Aramco DP: Season in Review
Luis Leon Sanchez
Fabianski: I think it'd be nice to see what he can do up in the big leagues!

cio93: I always appreciate your support of our project. Trying to follow somewhat in your footsteps. Our plans are still well in-tact, as long as we promote this season which we should with the talent at our disposal.
Conci will be in high demand so I'll look forward to seeing what you can offer Wink

Given our limited wage space, the wages of some of our riders and our desire to hold onto most of our talents, it is no surprise to anyone that we would need to do a bit of wheeling and dealing.

The first two riders as part of this wheeling and dealing come in on loan. We are paying $0 of both riders wages but we have compensated with a $150,000 gift as a thank you to both teams and their managers for their co-operation.

Both riders will have an important part to play this season. Sureda is a very handy lead-out man and will need have role to play in ensuring the success of Jakobsen & Abdul Halil this season. Noia is a pure time-trialist and will play an important part in TTTs and provide domestique support in flat races.

He's been much talked about and in high demand both for those wanting him permanently and on a loan but a deal was found early in the window for him to be sent to the PT for the 2021 season.

After some swift chats and some thought, we agreed for Conci to be sent out on loan to Team Puma - SAP, 3rd in the PT last season. His main role will be as lieutenant to the man who finished 2nd in the PT Individual Rider Standings in 2020 and current World Champion, Silvio Herklotz.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for Conci and we look forward to his return to the team, fully developed, in 2022 where he will play an important role in our team for years to come.

The young Belgian sprinting talent joins us from the Free Agency on the minimum 50,000 wage after we surprisingly faced no competition for his signature. He will one day be a very useful part of our lead-out train and joins Thijssen as the 2nd Belgian sprinting talent under contract with us. For now, he'll be developing with us at CT level.

Alex joins the team from Red Bull Zalgiris for a fairly hefty fee of 800,000. He will stay with us this season in the CT as our Cobbles Leader, an area that hasn't seen much attention from us in the past, and as a lead-out for Jakobsen. He'll go out on loan to the PT in 2022 to complete his development. On his return he'll be able to bring results both in the Sprints and the Cobbles for years to come.

Hefty fee yes - but also pretty much a perfect fit. After relegating to CT, managing the cap space was crucial for you and Ovsyannikov is easily one of the most valuable min wage riders to have. He should be a great asset immediately and will be even better in the future. Dibs on the 2022 loan Pfft

That's small pp Ovsya, formerly a great rider.

Just kidding of course (or am I?), he could easily be a lifetime leader for you with a year of training

Thank you again for trusting me with Conci's development, it humbles me that I was chosen from the plenty of teams that certainly showed interest.

Some nice signings, and I hope Alexandr comes good for that fee!

Great fit with Ovsyannikov indeed. I must admit, that looking at the off season that fee was too high - but under normal circumstances it wasn't, and if you don't need the cash for anything than it's better to overpay and get the target than to sit on the moneytank. Congrats - He will be a worthy asset next season - and I think you'll have a very solid chance to make one of those rare 2-in-a-row promotions if you target it.

knockout: As decent a fee as it is, I reckon he’s definitely worth it for this year and for the future.

quadsas: I will definitely be considering my options regarding training for him in the seasons to come.

cio93: Conci will learn a lot at your team and I hope he can support as much as Herklotz needs this season!

the_hoyle: Thank you! It was always going to be a window of limited activity so the fee wasn’t all that much in the end.

DarkWolf: Marvellous GIF that and I’ll keep that one around for when he brings in some top results this season.

SotD: Yeah absolutely! Didn’t need the money as I can’t train any of my too youngsters this season anyway. Was planning to send him out on loan next season so not sure how great an asset he’ll be. I hope we can fulfil what you think we are capable of!

We're a team that loves raising and developing talent so the opportunity to support the development of a few young riders is something we were hardly going to say no to. We've become a fairly international team and we want to provide opportunities to riders all around the world. We haven't got any riders from Guatemala or Japan so this extends our reach further.

We've included a possible development path should we make the decision to offer them a contract at the end of the season. Sam could develop into a capable Time-Trialist and an attacking rider on the flats. Kawasaki also loves an attack and would cover most terrains fairly well.

Henry Alberto Sam dreamed of starting his career closer to home, perhaps Costa Rica? I just read this on his personal Twitter, I assure you I did.

P.S. Now I'm filling your HQ with GIFs. Smile

Leader Presentation - Borisavljevic

The Serbian stage racer started his development with the team after we signed him back in 2015, funnily enough also for 100,000. He spent a season on loan back in 2017 but has now been with us fully developed for a few seasons. He has a big role to play in the team for many years to come.

Last time we were in the Continental Tour, Milos was our co-leader and finished 29th in the CT rankings alongside a very successful Nibali who finished 8th in the rankings. He is a well-rounded rider and very capable against the clock so he'll have plenty of leadership opportunities this season and will be an important member of the TTT team. Him and Mas should be a strong partnership.

Leader Presentation - Enric Mas

We carry on the Mountains theme here. The Spanish climber returns to us after a season out on loan in the Pro Tour where he enjoyed developing at Evonik - ELKO, 2nd in the PT rankings. Mas himself scored 131 points putting him 254th in the 2020 PT Rider Rankings. His main contributions to the team were as a domestique, although he had strong finishes in the U25 rankings with 4th in la Vuelta and in the Balkans International as well as 5th in the Dauphine. He is yet another who has spent his whole professional career on contract with us after we signed him from the Free Agency back in 2017 for 200,000.

Mas has a big role to play this season and will need to prove himself to us and to the cycling world. Retaining his services took a fair bit of our limited wage cap but he is a huge talent and we didn't raise him just to let him go. He is very strong both on the longer & shorter climbs, he is prepared for stage races as well as classics and he’s got a great kick.

I don't have an overview of CT climbers, but Borisavljevic and Mas could be a pretty fearsome duo!
