I suppose they're committing to Chaves for the Vuelta then? Hopefully he'll be all the way back in form by then. It's weird since Simon is the defending champion and the Vuelta's parcours seem to suit him well.

I gotta say it's a weird strategy, Trek and Mitchelton for example will have no-one fresh for the Vuelta, shooting all their shots Giro/Tour.

Bahrain will have Pozzo for Vuelta I guess, AG2R also with Gallopin Giro/Tour, Zakarin doing Giro/Tour, UAE with all their leaders here (except Gaviria but I wouldn't count him).. My point is the Vuelta is really being disregarded by many teams, could open up space for lots of surprises.
