I was going to say this race really isn't going very well for us so far, and then Salleh comes up with the stage win off of what looks like a weakened train as I don't think Manan was part of it but going for his own lower top 10 to top 15 GC chances like he did on the first stage.
We're starting to find some form as a team now after a sluggish start with this stage win, and Doull's performance on the C1 cobbles. We just need to keep it up going forward.

Not the worst stage for us! Von Hoff staying strong and staying 3rd on GC only 5 seconds behind! 2nd in points as well! He's really showing us his talent and fight this season with his contract ending this season
Great report and bring on stage 4!!

A second stage podium really puts Salleh in the fight for the GC, hopefully he can have another strong performance in the final stage and Manan can avoid losing too much ground in the GC as sitting 15th is really good for someone who is only meant to be a leadout here.

I believe this is the part where we quit the race without saving
But seriously, what in the world is going on? We're literally doing nothing. We have the by far best sprinter in the field, yet we're not contributing at the front of the peloton, we're not trying to get into breakaways, we're not setting up sprint trains, and it looks like we're not even taking part in the sprints anymore.
It would take a miracle on the last stage for this race not to be a complete waste of race days. And if this really is Guarnieri's normal level in C2HC/C2 races, then we've completely wasted €400K. Should've just signed Kip or something instead
Congrats to ENI-MOL and the other stage winners so far though!

The only positive so far from this race was stage 1. And Pluciński who tried three times already to be in the breakaway, yet wasn't in the successful one. |

Really shocking from Guarnieri, especially after the win on the first stage. Really surprised about that.

Not the best sprint from Manninen, but at least he is still within striking distance of the GC.
Good to see the boys actively chasing breaks as well even though seeing Liepins there in the final would be better.

Well deserved win for Salleh. Van Heerden simply not consistent enough. 2nd is very good actually. In especially with 2 very bad leadouts in the last two stages. Not sure why Barry wasn`t there today as he was a beast before.
With non sprinters as leadout it was actually better than expected today.
Some surprising stage winners in general. Mainly due to Guarnieri not working well here. 10th is simply awful for him with very limited race days. Beaten by Thorsen...tough one.
Thanks for the consistent reports, tmoha. |

Disappointing last stage from Manninen but seeing Guarnieris fate I'll take a GC 5th and be pleased that we got some minor points through breakaway presence as well.

Cool to see Salleh take this victory for Sauber after just losing out to JAC last season. Guarnieri major fail after stage 1 really very surprising, as was his lack of team support (no train for top rated rider!). Sprints were generally very close fought, but most contenders lacked good consistency. Quite a few podiums (and even victories) for sprinters that I think most of us would categorise as 2nd tier (even in CT). So quite an odd race, not the complete dominance perhaps expected pre-event from the likes of Delvaux and Valio.

A race to forget for us. We got a stage win, but that's not much consolation in the grand scheme of things. I just hope this was a one time thing, and not something we will see happen over and over again this season. We generally have quite similar teams across all flat stage races, so the last few days definitely have me a bit worried.
Congrats to sammy! Great win for Salleh, this. And a huge thanks to tsmoha of course for the reports! You've put in an amazing amount of work lately

A 2nd and a 3rd from Modolo.
We can't complain. But still we would like to get our first ever win soon...
Congratz to sammy and Salleh.
Great reporting tsmoha. Chapeu.

Really shocked by Guarnieri's performance
Salleh getting closer to the top of the CT Wins List, now in 4th place with 10 wins, 4 less than the recordman Geschke. Could be a realistic goal for him in the rest of his season.
And amazing that Azteca got almost 50 points from this race, given the team they send. I mean, is their highest scoring race so far while being a PCT team!
