So those usuals previews are out now when it´s getting closer to the season opening. We always love to read those and see what other people thinks about our team. We are settled for another year with fighting for avoid relegation.
Volvo acc. by Spotify 15th, Henie predicted us to get the same place as we did last year, that is something we would be satisfied with,
"I expect a great season from Ahlstrand this year", we sure hope he is right about that.
"Stallaert turning into a really nice rider and it will be very interesting to see how he does." Well we can agree on that.
"A well-balanced team that could be anywhere from relegation fight to mid-table. Got nice leaders anywhere except for Hills and should be able to score some points. Will be interesting to see if Ahlstrand can do a bit better than last season, then only giving him"
Volvo acc. by Spotify 20-22nd place, well JT for sure are predicting us to ride in PCT next season.
"On paper a team that could be said have got worse over the off season." Sad but kinda true...
"All in all it was a brave call to go for Stallaert when training this season over home boy Ahlstrand, Wellens or even Jensen and Ludvigsson combo to gain to 2nd leaders." Really hope it was the right decision training him rather then some of the other guys.
SN´s Slightly Mathematical preview
18th place is the overall predicted by him when comparing his 4 versions, so another preview where we are fighting at the line.
Volvo acc. by Spotify 19th, well hello PCT but as roturns says it is very very tight in that region.
"Ahlstrand is the face of the team for some time already. This might be his year, otherwise Stallaert might take over the burden of the face."
We hope they can coexist about beeing the main mens in our team. |

On the last stage of Praha - Karlovy Vary - Praha we finally managed to step highest on the podium and showing our nice jersey.
Ahlstrand deliver after a very nice leadout from Bertilsson.

Very short review
Another season has come to it´s end, unfortunaly we could not survive in PT this season even if our training with Joeri Stallaert payed out quite well with 2nd in both Roubaix and Vlaanderen behind impossilbe Bewley!
We have seen some guys in the off season taking a big step forward and
especially two guys we belived getting close to there maximum!
Marcus Faglum Karlsson has been contracted by us all of his Pro carrier and in to the next season he have improved his skills starting to look like a proper Stage Racer!

Laurens Sweeck is another guy who has taking some good steps riding those hard cobblessections! And will be at great help for Joeri Stallaert.

Faglum Karlsson is a rider who with 2 years of training could become very good. 80 Mo and 75TT is a very interesting combination potentially. Even with his current skill set he should be scoring somewhat ok in PCT as a secondary leader, much like DLC did for me last year(albeit on a much more realistic wage).
Sweeck looks like he is decent backup, also a decent depth scorer at PCT level.

Taking a step down from the biggest cycing scene there is, Pro Tour down to Pro Continental Tour also means a step down regarding budget therefor we had a tough job in renewals with some guys leaving us because we could not agree on a wage for them.
First we want to say thanks for you work Mr David Abal who have been with is our 2 season in PT and taking a few top 10 in Grand Tours!
Christian Bertilsson was signed last transfer season and did a good job for us but we just could not fit his wage request in our budget so there for he leaves us, which is a very tough decision.
We also our thankful for all years that Thomas Lövkvist and Alexander Wetterhall has been with us but they getting old and cant really compete at this level anymore.
Joeri Stallaert had an amazing season last year and by that he went in to the office with a big request and we really think he deserved a salary increase even if it was at the highest possible wage....
As mentioned earlier we have gotten a bid cut in our budget to this season and letting David Abal go is not enough for us regarding the Wage Cap so one more of our "big posted" in wage will have to go aswell....
Joeri Stallaert | 500.000 | +200.000 | Tim Wellens | 500.000 | -100.000 | Jonas Ahlstrand | 500.000 | +/-0 | Kristian Haugard Jensen | 150.000 | -35.000 | Marcus FÃ¥glum Karlsson | 140.000 | +60.000 | Tobias Ludvigsson | 110.000 | +10.000 | Victor Campenaerts | 65.000 | -45.000 | Kristoffer Halvorsen | 60.000 | -40.000 | Laurens Sweeck | 60.000 | +10.000 | Rasmus Tiller | 60.000 | -40.000 | Phan Age Haugard | 60.000 | +10.000 | Fredrik Ludvigsson | 59.000 | -6.000 | Lucas Eriksson | 50.000 | +/-0 | Johim Ariesen | 50.000 | +/-0 | Havard Blikra | 50.000 | +/-0 | Remco Broers | 50.000 | +/-0 | Harry Tanfield | 50.000 | -15.000 | Sten Stenersen | 50.000 | +/-0 |
End of an era? As in the press release above the team still needs to gut some wages and there have been a lot of talk about Jonas Ahlstrand be or not be in the team next season. He have belong to the team all of his pro carrier and the team management have always had high hopes on him, but even if he have done some good results the management have always been a bit disappointed with his racing.
Tim Wellens is another guy that it´s rumours around going in to the transfer season, is he really satisfied in this Scandinavian based team?
Anyway the talk around the team is without any confirmed source that one of this guys will leave the team in upcoming transfer season! |

That's an interesting post, for sure, and also a post that implies quite a shake up! Will be interesting to see how you handle transfers, assuming you want to go straight back to the PT. |

Ahlstrand is a rider worth creating a team around in PCT, I kinda hope he stays!

It will be interesting to see which of three leaders you'll sell. Hard to imagine Ahlstrandt in another team but its no easy decision for you.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

That's a really tough choice that you're being forced to make! On the other hand, the prospect of both Ahlstrand and Stallaert tearing up the flat stuff in the PCT is not appealing
Have followed your team with interest the past couple of seasons and will do so again to see how you adapt to the PCT. All the best!

Wellens and Ahlstrand are both riders who have been on my radar for a long time, though I never thought the latter would be allowed to leave - I expect we'll have plenty to talk about |

We will talk about a certain leader. Definitely. One that perfectly fits a role I need to be filled. That's how you get yourself #1 on my transfer targets.

Well, here was quite a lot of action...
Its definitely a tough decision ahead for us, just when we started to accept that Ahlstrand could leave he went and won the B-Worlds which made us rethinking it all. It would absolute need a very good offer for him to leave tbh.
Much can happen but only 13 hours before transfer starts Tim Wellens is The "favorite" to leave. |

Say hello to our two newest members! We are very happy that both of them agreed on minimum salary at 50.000! CF Hagen will be a good helper for us when the road goes up and Jurgen Roelandts is a veteran that will help Ahlstrand in the last km!
