Let the Summerhill bidding war start! (I'll resign him, have to see that the penalty for that is again, but pretty sure I'll end up on the good side).
Is it not an option to keep him, ditch all other dramaqueen riders who ask too much and promote again with all the cobble points you'll get?
Clearly depending on what kind of wage Summerhill will ask. It can be extremely difficult to control the C1-C2 cobbled stages if all other teams will not help. So it might be a very expensive gamble to keep Summerhill. But if the wage is somewhat OK, and there is still money for 1 more leader and then the rest decent 50K waged riders, then it should definately be a possibility.
Would need a very clever Transfer Season and some excellent Race Planning. Geraint boss'd it this year and was still under 500points which leaves a team needing almost 1000 to get automatic promotion. Summerhill is obviously a step up, but even then just based on the number of available races he'd struggle to get much over 700 with many C1 and an HC or two. Then all you need is bad AI in two races to come back down to 500 or less. 1000 points from 14 50k riders, it's doable but far from comfortable and a massive risk of missing promotion.
Then Danny has had a good year and wants more money and the team still has to sell a year later anyway

True, but in the end it all comes down to what kind of wage he asks. To be honest I could probably promote from the CT signing only riders with a 50K wage. It might take a season of developping a couple of riders with both loan outs and level 1 riders getting to level 3, but then I would be able to bounce to the PCT.
It's all about finding those kind of riders that can perform at the CT level. They aren't necessarily the same as the ones that can perform at PCT or PT level.
Summerhill wouldn't be a rider I would prefer in any division to be honest, unless he is massively trained. Pure cobblers are too much of a gamble I think.
Huge congrats to Heine for bouncing back to PT like it was nothing, and to Shonak for matching Evonik's feat - and if I have to be honest, for making it more impressive, having achieved promotion to PT only through top 5s. Good stuff
Nice job to Hugo Boss, Telkom and VisitUkraine for finally making it to the PT, this has been a great season for all of your teams, having managed to turn average/mediocre PCT teams into much better ones. Spotify is worth a separate mention, must be relieving to finally make the jump after I don't know how many years in the same division. Very happy for viking, who could have even gotten more out of the season.
It's very interesting to see how many more teams will climb into the major division through disbandments. It's likely that both Ayubowan and Meiji will leap back, but will we also benefit from a disbandment? It's 50/50 as far as I'm concerned, and I'm not sure how to feel about possibly promoting as 10th in the division.
That being said, we're the second best team among last year's CT promoters, contrary to early predictions and thanks to TT performances that most of the time went further than what I'd hope to achieve, we easily exceeded our top 15 goal and achieved 4 of the early season objectives, ridiculously missing Differdange... somehow. I've annoyed all of you about that race anyways!
Whatever the verdict coming from the disbandments is, I'm very happy about our second season, that under basically every single point of view, has been more satisfying than our first one. If we end up in PT, I might even not be ready considering I had always planned ahead for a 2nd season in PCT, but obviously I have a very solid base to build on, but if we stay in PCT, we will find it very hard not to promote after 2017.
Tough luck for the relegating teams, some of you suffered from your leaders not performing as they should have - looking at you, Di Maggio, others from an actual lack of PCT substance besides their leader - you know who I'm talking about, and others from a complete absence of big and consistent point scorers, but relegations happen and CT planning with a PCT base gotta be fun, so just be patient and it won't take long before you earn a second chance in PCT Yeah this sounds cheesy urgh.
