Damn, such a great performance from Bouet here. I bought him for exactly these sort of tries and it almost worked out.
Nice to see Stepniak giving it a go also. Nice to see loanies getting some notice.
Another great result for Evonik. Congrats mate
Now for a one-shot for stage succes, from Vlatos. Fingers are crossed - We really need a top 3 atleast.

Thanks for the great fast-paced reporting matt...i came to check Daily after the weekend and have found five reports!
Nice two tries by Guardini, resulting in two 4th places...shame that one of these was not podium, he lacked better positioning more than anything else.
Karnulin with a good first mountain stage to enter top15, now fight to stay there please.
Congrats to all the stage winners and few more words about TTT: fuck that random generator jesus, i have never seen so fucked up thing like TTs in pcm 15. Stats does not matter much, just roll the dice and see who is successful...which is never us this year. I expect another fuck up by Zmorka in individual TT, someone like Koren with 78TT will win...

Olivier so far pretty solid. Groenwegen should do better.
Frison/Vandewalle also not the very best day here in the TT.
Hoping that Olivier can gain a few spots again in the mountains, while the fight for the GC is thrilling with Andy being forced to do more now.
Looking forward for the upcoming stages and thanks matt for the nice and consistent reports. |

Old truth confirmed again...you need to complain hard to win one of the next stages.
Finally a TT win this year for Zmorka, it was about time...we came here for this win and we got it, so good Suisse Tour for us already.
Thanks for the nice report matt!

Zmorka smashing the field! Nice gap for Amador in the GC. Let's see if he can hold on Schleck |

5th is not good enough by Vlatos here, as we hardly get any points out of it. Vasyliv could have gone better aswell, but atleast he is still 20th in the GC and withing striking distance of Kangert and Haig who are probably the only riders he could be capable of catching.
Amador didn't get the time he needed in that stage, and 40 seconds should easily see him detronized in the next mountain stage. I'm crossing my fingers for Amador, Morton and Dombrowski to perform a spectacle, as I consider Vesuvio a heavy competitor if they end up scoring 6-800 points here, which they could well do considering a GC win (including perhaps 2 stagewins) another top 10, top 15 and top 20.
The hilly stage will be very interesting as the top 4 riders are all equal in strength there, while Guldhammer, Kwiatkowski and Kangert could capitalize on having a stronger hill stat. I'm looking forward to seeing just how difficult it is. I guess a rider like van Stayen shouldn't be able to survive the mountainlooking finish, despite having 78HI. Looking back on similar stageraces and their hilly looking stuff, I probably should have had Clement Koretzky in this race, as he could have done a top 25GC and contended for two stagewins (especially this next one) - Oh well, time to see what Vasyliv is made of now, and whether or not Pavel Potocki can fight for a top 50.

Pretty decent TT from Guldhammer. Not because of the time itself, but because the riders around him performed similar to him, which basically means no damage done. Now it's all about hunting that 4th place of Morton in the overall. Hopefully he's able to use the hilly stage to gain some time, as he on paper should be a stage favourite for that one, I think.
Thank you for the report, and congratulations, Avin! Good to see Zmorka claim the win as the pre-stage favourite. Also interesting to see Amador claim a bigger lead in the overall for the home team, eventhough 40 seconds with two difficult mountain stages waiting, shouldn't be close to enough. |

Nice work matt17br, awesome preview and reports, just read all the reports and discussion; this last 3 stages are going to be great for sure! Kolesnikov is doing very well so far, as is the rest of the team.

Going pretty well thus far, just need some proper time gaps on the next mountain stages. Come on Joe!
Thanks for all the reports matt.

Attacks on mountain stages by Stoltz: Over 9000
Attacks on flat stages by Stoltz: 0.
Why?

Staying out of trouble and putting men into the breakaway. Good enough, I guess. And pleased to see Warbasse up to 10th, a top 10 would be a nice result for him.
Great job on the reports so far, very enjoyable (even if my team isn't doing much).

Vasyliv did alright here, climbing a few spots he can now lose again.
Schleck winning and taking time on Amador is not good, aswell as Suaza heavily overperforming on a stage that should suit him horribly. Vesuvio on their merry way of catching us.

Thank you for the report, matt17br!
Good performance from Guldhammer, a podium is always nice. Congratulations on the win, SN! Definitely a surprise to see Schleck shine on a hilly stage, eventhough it was a steep finish and coming on the seventh day in a stage race.
Also very nice to see our team work for it at the front of the peloton through a lot of the stage, that makes Guldhammer's podium even nicer. Hopefully he can build from this on the final two mountain stages. Morton is still a target

Bad stage for Olivier. Gaining a few seconds on 3rd tier peloton riders is not enough. A 79/75 rider should be in a group with Arndt, König, Kolesnikov, Warbasse here. This way it will be difficult to gain a top10 spot in the GC.
Hope for better form in the mountains. |

Another decent stage for König. Top 10 in Bern really not impossible.

Terrible stage for us...for whatever reason, Karnulin sucked absolutely and dropped 12 places to 24th in GC.
Thanks for the reports and congrats SN!

Missed the start of this one due to my essays getting in the way but great reports Matt
Mostly nothing of note to report from the team but Boily grabbing a 10th on the last stage and Polanc keeping himself nicely place in the U25 need Boily to scramble as high up the GC as possible here though so hopefully he can improve |

While Olivier did about what was expected by him and is back in the top10 of the GC, it`s a pity to see Arndt and Galta being allowed to get such gap and hence are now out of reach for him more or less. Should have attacked with them I think.
Also when the gap to the front is 6min I had hoped for more than 1min to the big group a bit behind. Guess Olivier being not the very best descender is a reason to lose there.
Anyway. If he keeps the top10 tomorrow, this is a good race. |
