I'm really disappointed he abandoned. But then again, I'm pulling for Amador on the podium, so the more big names out of the picture the better.

You don`t make the GT triple with luck only.
You might be lucky here and there (as probably most GT winners are) but it needs lots of skills for sure. |

He was sick at beginning ( the reason of his poor activity on stages 4 and 6), but it looked like better and better - probably the illnes was retreating. Bud after sundays time trial, I suppose it came back. You cant ride 3 week Grand Tour with fever...

This is not working that way...luck also with you when you are strong. He was 1st at time table after any GT he won...or was at the podium same thing...hard work. |

Care to explain 'have had alot of luck' statement? Yeah his main rivals did crash out of the 2014 TDF but looking at the numbers Nibali put out during that Tour he would of been battling for victory with Froome and Contador both in the race, also he didn't just beat his other rivals in that TDF but he absolutely kicked there heads in.
