What's the logic behind not attacking for Astana?
Isolating Contador first. Kreuziger already dropped so it's working.
Yeah, but they have such a massive advantage in numbers, that if Landa would've attacked, GC contenders would have to spend their energy chasing him and Aru would benefit most from it. |

Betancur with some superior climbing than Porte, Kreuziger and Uran Uran. Talk about hitting your peak at the right time.

Porte, Uran, Cataldo... so many names dropped already. Pure third week carnage.
Yeah and it's the first time the race has hit the real mountains, the route was planned so well with this stage following such a long ITT
Hells 500 Crew and 6 x Everester
Don Rd Launching Place
Melbourne Hill Rd Warrandyte
Colby Drive Belgrave South
William Rd The Patch
David Hill Rd Monbulk
Lakeside Drive Emerald

Too sexy some might add...
What a climb, almost a mini-Mortirolo. Hoping for a Aru/Contador/Landa duel for the stage win - Betancur also looking good! So glad to see that. |

Pure carnage, only +10 in the leading group. Contador isolated - tempo from Kangert in the bottom and away Landa goes is my guess.
Edit: Amador still in it

Jeez this group is so freaking small and Contador all alone. That finish will be intense. Kruisjwijk back to a Grand Tour rider, great to see that. Chance for a Top 10 overall?
Anton crash?

If Landa attacks than surely VDB/Konig/Amador will take chasing up before Contador. Contador has 5 minutes on Landa. |

So Astana now constitutes a third of the peloton?

I'm a bit confused here. We didn't see many people go down but the group was brought down to Astana and some stragglers.

Just tuned in after the Monaco GP, can someone give me a super quick recap? What is happening with Astana?
