Azteca and Siam really continuing their great late-season run here!

Uh-oh.
Damn promotion won't be easy although I lost track of the rankings at this point.

Great stage win there for Duenas Unfortunate he couldn't gain more time than that.

It's a shame that stage wasn't more selective as I think Schurter should have had a decent chance there, although it's good to see we've still got 4 guys in contention so hopefully 1 of them will try something in the upcoming stages. we need to get a good result out of this one if we want to jump TTT in the rankings.
Trust Euskaltel to continue their good run, maybe telling the guys to follow them instead of trying to win will result in us getting a share of their luck and some better results.

You can always reject promotion to keep the European transfer market less crowded

Congrats to Euskaltel, really need to explain to my riders to follow that kind of moves...
Edit: CAS even 5th in the GC now

Euskaltel again?
Kind of sucks that this went to a break, as Rodrigues won the bunch sprint and it would've been great if he would go into the remaining stages with the yellow jersey bonus. Still nice to get some bonus seconds on the other contenders, maybe he will try something on the following mountainious stage. |

Good ride by the team today, shame Firsanov came too late, as a stage win would obviously have been a great result here.

Ah, thanks, Sammy.
Thought I caught up with the MG after my holiday but I missed that one.
Top 10 goal is gone at least but as long as the first 12 promote I'll be fine.

Seems like Olsson decided to stay with Matthews. That's a pity, considering his decent sprint. Hope to see my guys in the breaks now as we don't have a jersey to defend.

No big surprises on stage 2. For a moment thought we were going to get another peloton fail to catch the break scenario, but fortunately not. 4 in the main group, and Ochoa Quintero prominent at the finish, so lets see what tomorrow brings!

Rudaskov hanging on nicely. I'll be happy if he just sticks around.

Godoy = the stage favourite but doesn't make the top 30: sounds about right.
Some bonus seconds gobbled up there for some outside GC favourites, with this game I wouldn't be surprised if the smallest group to contest the remaining finishes had more than 10 riders in it: so the bonuses may be all important. |

Well after a terrible stage one, at least we are respectable in stage two with Marantez getting 2nd and several riders finishing in the same time to give us a decent chance in the GC. Will be curious though to see how we play this, riding for Marantez now or if Ardila or Rodriguez will still go for themselves as the better climbers.

Senor Beltran does it again - awesome combination of hill, mountain, fighter and downhill stat delivers a brilliant result at this crucial stage of the season.
Excellent reporting as always from the MG's favourite pretend Aussie .

Beltran: damn, he has massively over-performed this season. GC could well be decided after that one, congrats to Scorchio.
Good show from Rodrigues. |

Be really interested to see if Beltran can hold on here. And Euskaltel having yet another great race. |
